We are looking for a creative, passionate and well-rounded individual to join the Industry and Solutions marketing team and lead Public Sector marketing at Databricks. Our mission is to bridge the gap between technology and business needs with powerful industry messaging and solutions. This is a highly collaborative role that works closely with many other functions to build demand in our biggest industries.

As an Industry Marketing leader at Databricks, you will guide messaging, content and GTM programs for the Public Sector. You will work with sales, marketing and our customers to build awareness, demand generation and sales enablement programs that help achieve pipeline goals. You will also create thought leadership content through editorials, blogs, white papers, industry and partner events. This role reports to the head of industry solutions marketing.

The impact you will have:

  • Develop messaging and content that articulate Databricks’ platform capabilities, differentiating value, and solutions for the Public Sector including Federal, State and Local Government and Education.
  • Partner with go-to-market, sales, and other marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns for business leaders and decision-makers.
  • Create the core messaging and content for digital programs, field marketing, sales engagements, and channel marketing.
  • Create targeted content to create awareness in the industry including infographics, ebooks, articles, blogs, videos and other customer-facing materials.
  • Work with customers to build compelling content for high-profile speaking engagements, customer case studies, videos, and brand campaigns.
  • Manage industry solution launches.
  • Research customer and market trends to help inform content development and enablement.
  • Work with industry SMEs to build sales tools, enablement and training e.g. sales plays, sales presentations, battlecards, and prospecting templates.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, solution marketing or industry marketing for an enterprise software or SaaS company.
  • Customer-facing experience with personas like enterprise architects, application developers, data scientists, data engineers, CDO's, CTO's, CIOs, business analysts and business executives.
  • Portfolio of impactful messaging, content and sales enablement materials
  • Proven track record in creating multi-faceted marketing and sales enablement material – this is a must-have!
  • Experience with cloud, big data, data analytics, data warehouse, machine learning or AI technologies is a plus
  • Experience presenting at conferences/seminars and customer engagements.
  • BS in Marketing or Computer Science, Engineering, coupled with relevant professional experience; MBA or advanced degree a plus.

 

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
