Job description

The Specialty National Account Director (SNAD) in the Channel Management Group is responsible for maximizing the patient experience of Pfizer’s Inflammation & Immunology (I&I), Oncology and Rare Disease/Hemophilia (RD) and select Biosimilar brands through expert collaborations with the largest and most strategic Specialty Pharmacy Provider (SPP) focused accounts.

The SNAD is accountable to lead and manage the enterprise business relationship on behalf of Pfizer for all Pfizer related activities and owns the enterprise business relationship with assigned strategic National, Regional, IDN Specialty Pharmacies, inclusive of hemophilia Specialty Distributors, Specialty Pharmacies Hemophilia Treatment centers (HTC’s), Specialty GPOs, Specialty Pharmacy Services Organizations, and the Specialty Pharmacy Conference and Advocacy Organizations

The SNAD is a trusted business advisor and is responsible for the strategic and tactical development of plans and negotiation of contracts to support products, through the development of intimate knowledge of the Specialty Pharmacy Provider’s business model, in addition to serving as the SPP account expert to all internal Pfizer stakeholders. The SNAD is also responsible for optimizing the patient experience and for all mutually beneficial B2B interactions, development and implementation of business plans and all negotiated contracting. Additionally, the NAD coordinates all aspects of healthcare collaboration with assigned accounts, and proactively strategizes with internal stakeholders (i.e. brand teams) as it relates to account/trends and opportunities.

The NAD leads high touch service and distribution agreements with SPPs on behalf of the Pfizer Inflammation & Immunology, Oncology & Rare Disease/Hemophilia, Biosimilar product portfolio. In addition, the SNAD is responsible for the smooth and efficient transition of new specialty assets acquired through Pfizer corporate purchases. The position analyzes comprehensive utilization data to recommend sound decisions to enhance the patient experience.

Based on the SNAD’s enterprise responsibilities and expert knowledge of both the customer and market landscape, customers recognize Pfizer as the partner of choice based on the quality and value of our contracts and collaborations.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develops, executes, and tracks priority national account strategy, which is designed to position Pfizer as an I&I, Oncology and Rare Disease/Hemophilia, Biosimilar partner of choice and optimize the patient experience for all products within assigned accounts.
     
  • Leads all aspects of priority SPP account business planning and execution, along with Specialty Portfolio specific input into the payer team’s National Account operating plans

  • Master-knowledge of the customer in terms of contract, performance status, challenges, and opportunities
     
  • Effectively negotiates and manages high touch service and distribution agreements with specialty pharmacies for the full I&I, Oncology & Rare Disease/Hemophilia portfolio
    • Master Service Agreement negotiation (MSAs)
    • Brand specific Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Compliance & Persistency Programs (C&P)
    • Defined SPP distribution networks (and exception account management)

  • Works collaboratively with the internal Specialty Access Solutions (SAS) Center of Excellence Pfizer Legal, Specialty Pharmacy (SPP) Strategy Team and Digital Patient Initiatives Team to leverage resources dedicated to:
    • Planning & Innovation
    • Operations & Execution
    • Analytics & Insights

  • Ensure new product and or new product indication launch readiness and, successful new asset transition from corporate purchases, with Specialty Pharmacy and select Specialty Distribution accounts on behalf of I&I, Oncology & Rare Disease/Hemophilia portfolio products.
     
  • Coordinates with Field Force, Pfizer Medical and Headquarters resources to effectively create and leverage synergies and opportunities between Headquarters, the Field Force, Pfizer Medical and the National Account(s).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $182,000.00 to $303,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
