RJIM is seeking a Professional Buyer Director to focus on our distribution efforts via key placements, takeovers, and model assets at RIAs. Reporting to the Head of Professional Buyers, the ideal candidate is a seasoned and successful National Accounts professional with established, meaningful relationships across professional buyers in the RIA marketplace. They should be well-known and respected by key decision-makers, including those in Platform, Research and Partnership development. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of RIA aggregators, custodian platform structures, and business development opportunities, along with innovative ideas to best leverage RJIM investment capabilities.
Responsibilities
Cultivate and deepen relationships with key decision makers at RIAs to drive strategic initiatives, including model allocations, shelf space expansion, new product placement and launches, and securing partnership opportunities. Key contacts will include Head of Research and Due Diligence, Product Gatekeepers and Platform Heads.
Expand investment exposure within the RIA channel by placing RJIM ETFs and Funds on recommended lists and within discretionary model portfolios.
Collaborate with RJIM Leadership, Portfolio Management, Sales, and Marketing to support the RIA strategy.
Evaluate sponsorship opportunities for events, partnerships and educational meetings with management.
Represent RJIM at industry events and conferences to promote the firm and build relationships.
Understand the competitive environment, create cross selling opportunities and develop overall sales opportunities for the field sales team.
Maintain existing relationships and prospect for new opportunities independently while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Knowledge of
RJ and RJIM working structure, policies, mission, and strategies
Fundamental concepts, principles, and practices used in the securities industry
Fundamental concepts, principles, and practices of relationship management
Financial markets and products, specifically ETFs
Deep understanding of RIA marketplace
Skill in
Territory and client management
Preparing and executing business plans
Identifying trends and implementing appropriate corrective action
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for electronic communication, spreadsheets and client data bases
