GP Strategies Corporation has an immediate need for a part-time Jr. HRIS Oracle Specialist. The hours for this position will be approximately 25 (not to exceed 30) per week. The hours will be during EST business hours (9 – 5 p.m.) but we are flexible on the schedule. This is a temporary position expected to last for six months.

We are seeking a process-oriented and analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail to join our HRIS team. The Junior HRIS Analyst will provide technical and analytical support to drive compliance and data accuracy while enhancing the employee experience by supporting self-service transactional and reporting needs.

Success in the position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and the ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides day to day technical and administration support to departmental and end users of Oracle HCM (HR Core, Payroll, Time and Labor, Absence Management, and Taleo Enterprise Edition Applicant Tracking and Onboarding system).
  • Supports migrations, releases, upgrades and/or patches, including functionality and design review as well as end to end user testing; provides technical and administration support to end users.
  • Serves as liaison between vendors and/or IT and HR end users to troubleshoot functional system issues, identify root causes and partner with stakeholders to fix errors so that problems are not repeated. Documents changes to system and processes.
  • Continuously identifies process improvement or automation opportunities by reviewing processes with vendors and end users, to include testing and updating documentation.
  • Assures system integration functionality and troubleshoots integration issues, including review of integration specifications and development and maintenance of macro-enabled Excel data analysis tools. Coordinates new system implementations or changes to existing systems to ensure documentation is accurate and current for production support.
  • Responds to US government audits and manages compliance related reporting and auditing.
  • Responds to ongoing ad hoc requests for data analytics from various systems, including (but not limited to) Oracle HCM and Taleo.
  • Reviews, writes, and updates system documentation, including process maps/workflows, standard operating procedures, and project plans for HRIS.
  • Collaborates across HR and with other functional groups such as Payroll, IT, and Finance to ensure alignment and integration with HR’s operational processes.
  • Actively manages the HR department’s intranet/employee portal in MS SharePoint, including designing content and making updates to provide a positive, user-friendly employee experience.
  • Performs ongoing audits and reconciliation of HR data relating to Oracle HCM.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training

  • 1-3 years of experience in HRIS, HR Operations, and payroll system support.
  • Functional background in Cloud HCM – combined enterprise experience in Oracle HCM/Fusion (HR Core, Payroll, Time and Labor, Absence Management) and Taleo Enterprise Edition preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio applications.
