Conflicts Manager

Integreon is partnering with a key client to engage an experienced Conflicts Manager for a temporary assignment. This role will be responsible for managing complex conflicts matters, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance on conflict-related issues. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in legal conflicts analysis within a law firm or professional services environment, along with proven experience leading and managing teams. The role requires the ability to oversee workflows, provide guidance on complex conflicts matters, support stakeholder engagement, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality work. Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

This is a hybrid/remote role offering the opportunity to support a range of conflicts and risk management activities. Given the client-facing nature of the role, some flexibility will be required to accommodate client calls during Eastern Time (ET) business hours.

Note: This opportunity is suitable only for candidates who are available immediately or have a notice period of no more than 1–2 weeks and can commit fully to the assignment duration.

• Team Leadership & Operations Management

  • Lead and support conflicts professionals, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of conflicts reviews.
  • Manage workloads, priorities, and service levels across the team.
  • Provide guidance on complex conflicts matters and act as an escalation point for high-risk issues.
  • Conduct quality reviews and promote best practices, consistency, and client service excellence.

  Conflicts & Risk Management

  • Conduct and oversee conflicts checks for new clients, matters, related parties, lateral hires, and other conflict-related requests.
  • Review and assess complex conflicts reports to identify legal, commercial, and reputational risks.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance on conflict resolution strategies and risk mitigation.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for complex and high-risk conflicts matters.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of conflicts analysis, decisions, and risk assessments within the conflicts management system.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive information.

  Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Participate in client meetings and provide guidance on conflicts-related issues and operational matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through proactive communication and effective issue resolution.
  • Manage sensitive and time-critical matters while balancing business needs and risk considerations.
  • Deliver a high standard of client service and professionalism at all times.

  Project & Process Management

  • Support the delivery of conflicts-related projects and operational initiatives.
  • Monitor project timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and quality standards.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and best practices where appropriate.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and status updates for client and leadership review.

• Essential

  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong knowledge of legal conflicts principles and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex conflicts matters independently and make sound risk-based decisions.
  • Experience working directly with partners, attorneys, compliance professionals, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, research, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Required
  • 5+ years of experience in legal conflicts analysis, conflicts management, or risk management within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Hands-on experience with conflicts management systems, preferably Intapp Open

  • Experience handling conflicts reviews and risk assessments arising from:
    • Law firm mergers, acquisitions, and combinations.
    • Lateral partner and attorney hires.
    • Law firm closures, firm dissolutions, office closures, and practice group transitions.
    • Integration of attorneys, clients, and matters following mergers, acquisitions, or organizational restructures.
  • Experience leading conflicts teams supporting global law firms or international professional services organizations with a strong understanding of information barriers, confidentiality obligations, and regulatory compliance requirements within legal environments.
