Job description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer with proven experience managing US-based residential and commercial projects. You will conceptualize, plan, and execute functional, inspiring, and code-compliant interiors from initial client brief to final installation. Strong storytelling through physical and digital moodboards, spatial mastery, and vendor coordination are core to this role.

WE WILL REQUEST A PORTFOLIO OR SAMPLE PROJECT(S) FOR THE SCREENING PROCESS

Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Concept & Moodboard Development: Create compelling design directions, material palettes, and physical/digital moodboards using SketchUp, Photoshop, or InDesign to translate client aspirations into elevated visual plans.

  • Space Planning & Programming: Conduct detailed programming, spatial layout optimization, and furniture arrangements tailored specifically to US residential homes and commercial/corporate environments.

  • US-Compliant Technical Drawings: Produce comprehensive design documentation—including floor plans, elevations, sections, and RCPs—in AutoCAD or Revit that strictly adhere to US building codes and ADA regulations.

  • FF&E & Finish Specification: Curate, source, and specify Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E), hard finishes, lighting, and custom millwork aligned with project aesthetics and budgets.

  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Prepare specification schedules, cut sheets, vendor quotes, and budget logs while tracking procurement workflows and material lead times.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with US-based architects, general contractors, MEP engineers, and specialty trades to review shop drawings and complete final punch lists.

  • Client Presentation & Project Delivery: Present design concepts, project updates, and final deliverables directly to clients with clear, professional communication from initial brief through installation.
