ABOUT THE ROLE 

Associations International is seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to join the International Coaching Federation (ICF) team.  The Senior Digital Marketing Strategist plays a key role in ICF’s marketing and communications team, shaping and executing a high-impact digital content strategy. This role is responsible for creating engaging, SEO-optimized content that meets diverse audience needs while strengthening brand awareness and engagement. The Senior Digital Copywriter contributes to content creation, lead generation, and customer retention efforts, ensuring a seamless and integrated user experience across various digital channels.

• Write engaging, audience-specific copy for various digital formats (e.g., web, email, social media, advertising, digital assets) to drive brand awareness and user action.  
• Develop compelling, strategic marketing content across multiple digital channels that align with brand standards and digital best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create content that meets the needs of leads and stakeholders and that supports digital marketing objectives.
• Ensure digital marketing content aligns with digital advertising, email marketing, and website copy strategies.
• Develop and execute email strategy and communications planning for organic marketing efforts.
• Plan, create, audit, and optimize complex email automations for lead generation, stakeholder retention, and additional nurture sequences.
• Oversee the technical administration of the email platform and supporting integrations, including database maintenance, contact list hygiene, and performance optimization.
• Manage sender reputation to optimize email deliverability and effectiveness, particularly with leads.
• Grow paid lead generation subscriber lists, optimizing engagement and long-term value.
• Analyze data and campaign performance to drive digital content and email strategy, improve engagement, and ensure long-term impact.
• Create SEO-driven website copy informed by user-experience best practices.
• Collaborate with freelance writers to meet content deadlines, while ensuring deliverables are consistent, on brand, and aligned with digital content best practices. 
• Stay current with industry trends and innovations in digital marketing and content strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Creative thinker with a talent for crafting engaging, action-driven content that aligns with digital best practices, including SEO.
• Exceptional written communication and copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and mediums.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, creative writing, journalism, or a related field of study preferred.
• This position is open to candidates residing in states where our organization currently has an established employee presence, including FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MO, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, and VA.
• 5+ years of copywriting experience with at least 2 years’ experience in digital copywriting. 
• Proven ability to write both creative and technical copy, clearly and concisely, for target audiences.
• Strong ability to maintain a consistent brand voice across multiple platforms.
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Deadline and detail oriented.
• Ability to respond positively to feedback.
• Strong project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of AP Style.
• Knowledge of SEO content best practices.
• Experience with email marketing software and digital content management tools.
