With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for an Integrated Marketing Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, exempt, remote role, but preferably based in California.
About the Role:
The Integrated Marketing Specialist executes campaign plans approved by the Manager, Integrated Marketing. The Specialist brings hands-on B2B marketing experience across digital channels, marketing automation and analytics, and uses it to recommend optimizations based on campaign results. Every asset the Specialist develops is built for a defined stage of the customer buying journey, with the job of moving the buyer to the next stage and into a sales-accepted opportunity. The Specialist does not set campaign strategy, approve budgets or set channel standards; those sit with the Manager, Integrated Marketing and the channel owners: the Paid Search Lead for paid search, the Sr. Manager, Web & eBusiness for landing pages, and the Marketing Operations Lead for tracking and CRM integration.
Success is measured by campaigns delivered on committed date and scope, an accurate project record and complete results reporting, and by the MQL-to-SQL conversion and pipeline contribution of leads its campaigns source, which this role reports on but does not control. Regional Commercial owns demand targets and won revenue.
This is a hands-on integrated marketing role that runs on strong project management. It delivers campaigns that generate qualified demand; it does not own campaign strategy or commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Owns the project plan and delivery record for each assigned integrated marketing initiative in the team's work management platform, from intake and kickoff through launch and wrap-up.
- Builds and maintains the tasks, owners, dependencies and dates for every initiative, keeps status current, and raises any risk to the committed date or scope with the affected owner before the deadline is missed.
- Runs kickoffs, status checkpoints and retrospectives, and records decisions and next steps in the project.
- Executes campaign plans approved by the Manager, Integrated Marketing across email and marketing automation, webinars, events, digital and print advertising, and social media.
- Develops the creative marketing tactics each campaign calls for, including gated content, sales enablement materials and video, with every asset mapped to a stage of the customer buying journey and built to move the buyer toward a sales-accepted opportunity.
- Plans and maintains the LinkedIn and social media content calendar for assigned campaigns, aligned to campaign launch dates and the buying journey stage each post supports.
- Builds global playbooks and campaign collections (assets, messaging, timelines and execution guidance) for regional teams to translate and localize.
- Executes campaigns directly in English-only markets; in all other markets, regional marketers own translation and in-market execution, and this role supplies launch support.
- Produces deliverables from approved templates and brand standards, and routes every asset through review and approval in the team's work management and proofing platforms before launch.
- Supplies market and competitor research to campaign briefs, which the Manager, Integrated Marketing owns.
- Paid search elements of a campaign are built to the search standards set by the Paid Search Lead, and landing pages are shared responsibility with the Web & eBusiness team; this role delivers the brief to each and owns the launch timeline.
- Campaign performance analysis and reporting. Analyzes assigned campaigns against their KPIs on a regular basis to determine effectiveness, including contribution to the MQL, ARR and FYRC targets set by marketing leadership, and measures progress on the key results that ladder to the team's objectives (OKRs). Identifies gaps against plan, analyzes their cause, and recommends corrective actions and optimization tactics to the Manager, Integrated Marketing.
- Publishes campaign results and project status reporting on the recurring cadence set by the Manager, Integrated Marketing, drawing figures from the CRM and web analytics systems of record.
- Every report states how the campaign performed against target and what is recommended next.
- Maintains the templates, intake forms and workflow standards the Integrated Marketing team runs on in its work management platform, and recommends changes to them; the Manager, Integrated Marketing approves changes.
- Ensures compliance with and/or follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
- Actively supports and participates in the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Safety Manual and Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Handles various other duties as delegated by the Manager, Integrated Marketing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience, required. MBA a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years of B2B marketing experience
- Inter/Adv knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), UTM codes and Looker Studio
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of buyer journey, personas and overall lead nurture process
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of marketing automation (list management, email, landing page, forms, etc.)
Preferred
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, Joomla, Drupal, etc.) and HTML
- Intermediate knowledge of content distribution networks (Vimeo, YouTube, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of social media networks
- Intermediate knowledge of SEO (on-page, off-page, link building)
- Intermediate knowledge of remarketing and conversion tracking (tracking/conversion pixels)
- Intermediate knowledge of display networks
- Prior work experience in related microbiology and/or life science industry a plus
