Job Title: Principal Data Engineer
Duration: 12+ months - Contract
Location: Alhambra, CA - Remote
Pay rate range: $100 - $104 per hour (DOE)
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Databricks.

Build and optimize Databricks Medallion Lakehouse architecture to support enterprise data integration and analytics.

Implement data governance, data quality, and data management best practices.

Develop data models and manage Azure resources to support reliable data operations.

Automate Azure data resources using DataOps practices and mentor junior data engineers and database administrators.
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of professional experience with Databricks, data engineering, data integration, data warehousing, and cloud computing.

5 years of experience developing data pipelines using Python.

3+ years of experience designing and developing Databricks Medallion Lakehouse architecture, with expertise in data governance and data quality.
- Experience with data modeling, Azure resource management, and DataOps automation; bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualifying experience.
