About the role

NewWorld Strategies makes creator-led campaigns and client shows that have to win attention on platforms built for scrolling. This role designs the graphics and motion that help that work land, across our Creator Command Centers and client shows.

It’s an entry level, full-time role with real range. Some weeks that means a set of social graphics for a fast-moving campaign, and other weeks an animated title sequence or a client’s brand adapted for TikTok. AI-enabled design tools and platforms are part of the everyday workflow, and the job is getting from idea to finished, platform-ready work quickly.

You work closely with strategists, project managers, and production staff, and you help keep our work looking like it belongs on the internet. That takes taste across a wide range of graphic styles, an understanding of the aesthetics and subcultures that shape online audiences, and the curiosity to keep up as they change.

What you’ll do

Design for social

• Design static and animated graphics for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms, sized and optimized for each
• Build social templates, graphic packages, and visual systems that teams can reuse at speed
• Adapt client brands for social while keeping them true to each organization’s identity

Motion and production

• Create motion graphics, animated text, and short edited pieces for campaigns and client shows
• Support graphic production across creator content and shows, from first concept to final delivery
• Prepare final files for publishing and handoff, with the right formats, export settings, and captions

Ideas and tools

• Generate a high volume of visual ideas and options, fast
• Use AI image and video generation, in tools such as Flora, and other AI-enabled design platforms to explore, iterate, and produce
• Keep the team current on graphic trends, platform formats, and new tools

What you bring

2–3+ years designing graphics and motion for social media and the internet, whether in-house, at an agency, or freelance

• A portfolio of social-first work, including both static graphics and motion
• Strong command of typography, color, layout, and composition
• Fluency in industry-standard design and motion tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and After Effects
• Proficiency in AI image and video generation, with tools such as Flora, and in other AI-enabled design platforms
• Knowledge of a wide range of graphic styles, and a sense of when each one fits
• Fluency in social media platforms, formats, and what works on each
• Study or work in media or communications (a plus)
• Experience with social or political causes and campaigns (a big plus)

Who you are

• You’re endlessly generative, the kind of designer who comes back with ten ideas when asked for one.
• You’re curious about the internet and the cultures and subcultures that live there.
• You understand a wide range of aesthetics, and you can move between them without losing quality.
• You take feedback well and turn it around fast.
• You want your work to reach real people, and you’re driven by NewWorld’s mission and the audiences we exist to reach.

Compensation and benefits

The pay range is $8,000–$12,000 per month and is set by working days and experience. This is a freelance role, paid project by project at rates competitive with the market for comparable freelance production work. The role is remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in New York, Toronto, or Los Angeles, and the option to work from our New York office.
