Job description

Location: Egypt (supporting GCC markets)

About Pulse iD

Pulse iD is a fintech technology company operating across Asia-Pacific and the GCC, helping financial institutions, payment providers, merchants, and digital platforms grow customer engagement and unlock new revenue opportunities.

Our Encore platform enables businesses to generate incremental revenue from their existing customer journeys, including checkout, payment, and order confirmation experiences. By connecting publishers with relevant advertiser offers, Encore creates new revenue opportunities for publishers while helping advertisers acquire customers through performance-based marketing.

We're expanding Encore across the GCC and building a dedicated team to accelerate commercial growth.

Purpose of the role

We're looking for an experienced, commercially minded Market Development Executive to help build a scalable publisher acquisition pipeline across the GCC.

This is a hands-on business development role for someone who knows how to identify opportunities, engage decision-makers, and generate high-quality sales conversations. You'll take ownership of prospect research, targeted outreach, and lead qualification, working closely with our publisher sales team to convert opportunities into commercial partnerships.

Beyond executing outreach, we want someone who can help us continually improve how we find and engage prospective partners, testing new approaches, using technology intelligently, and identifying what works.

For someone with broader business development experience, there is also an opportunity to participate in discovery conversations and progress selected commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities

Market development and prospecting

  • Build and continuously expand a targeted pipeline of prospective publishers and ecosystem partners across the GCC, particularly the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
  • Identify high-potential businesses, including retailers, travel and booking platforms, hospitality groups, payment service providers, and other businesses with high-volume customer transactions.
  • Research target accounts, understand their commercial potential, and identify the right decision-makers across commercial, digital, e-commerce, payments, and partnerships functions.
  • Map corporate ownership and decision-making structures to ensure we engage stakeholders with the authority to progress commercial partnerships.
  • Develop and execute personalised outreach through email, LinkedIn, telephone, and other relevant channels, in English and Arabic.
  • Identify and pursue warm introductions, industry relationships, referral channels, and other sources of qualified opportunities.
  • Follow up consistently and nurture prospective partners through to a meaningful commercial conversation.

Lead qualification and sales development

  • Assess opportunities against key qualification criteria, including transaction volumes, ownership of relevant customer touchpoints, and access to commercial decision-makers.
  • Engage prospective partners to understand their business, identify relevant opportunities, and establish interest in Encore.
  • Arrange and support qualified meetings for the publisher partnerships team, ensuring appropriate background information and clear next steps.
  • Work closely with sales colleagues to understand which opportunities progress and why.
  • Where appropriate, participate in discovery conversations and support the progression of selected opportunities.

Pipeline development and optimisation

  • Help develop a systematic, repeatable approach to publisher prospecting across GCC markets.
  • Test different target segments, outreach messages, prospecting channels, and engagement approaches to identify what generates the best results.
  • Use CRM systems, sales intelligence platforms, automation, and AI-assisted tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of prospecting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account, contact, and opportunity information in the CRM.
  • Monitor outreach performance, qualified opportunities, and pipeline progression, using insights to improve results.
  • Share market intelligence, competitor insights, common objections, and emerging opportunities with the sales and marketing teams.

What we're looking for

  • Typically 4+ years of experience in business development, sales development, merchant acquisition, partnerships, or a similar commercially focused role.
  • Demonstrated success in independently building sales pipelines through outbound prospecting, rather than relying solely on inbound enquiries or an existing network.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic, including strong written Modern Standard Arabic.
  • Experience engaging businesses across GCC markets, particularly the UAE and/or Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong account research, prospect identification, and decision-maker mapping capabilities.
  • Confidence communicating with senior commercial stakeholders and presenting compelling business propositions.
  • Sound commercial judgement, including the ability to recognise commercially attractive opportunities and qualify out unsuitable prospects.
  • Experience using CRM systems, prospecting platforms, and digital tools to manage outreach and sales activity.
  • An organised, proactive, and persistent approach, with the ability to manage multiple prospects and follow-ups independently.
  • An interest in using data, technology, and AI to work more effectively and continuously improve results.

Highly advantageous

  • Experience in e-commerce, payments, fintech, retail technology, travel platforms, SaaS, martech, loyalty, or related industries.
  • Experience selling or developing partnerships with merchants, digital platforms, payment providers, or other ecosystem businesses.
  • Broader business development experience, including conducting discovery meetings, handling objections, or progressing commercial negotiations.
  • Experience designing or improving outbound prospecting campaigns and processes.

What success looks like

You'll be successful in this role when you're consistently generating qualified commercial opportunities for our sales team, building relationships with the right decision-makers, and improving the effectiveness of our prospecting activities.

We value the quality and commercial potential of opportunities generated, not simply the volume of outreach or meetings booked.

This is an opportunity to play an important role in establishing a scalable business development function as Encore expands across the GCC and into new markets.
