Role Overview
This is a full-time, in-house role at Magic — not freelance, with full benefits from day one. You're the first line of defense before a resume ever reaches a recruiter's desk. You'll hunt down candidates for niche, hard-to-fill roles — running Boolean searches across LinkedIn, job boards, and online communities until the right people surface. Some days it's a slow-burn niche search. Other days it's sourcing, outreach, screening, and scheduling a custom hire, start to finish, in one sitting. This isn't full-cycle recruiting — you won't run interviews or make offers. You'll make the call that decides whether anyone else ever sees the resume at all.
This role sits within Magic's Boutique team, supporting recruiters across general, niche, and custom-hire requisitions — everything from SDRs and bookkeepers to project managers and full custom accounts. The pool for niche and custom roles is often small, so real sourcing work is the norm, not the exception, and priorities can flip without warning.
Shift: 9 AM–6 PM PHT (flex options: 7 AM–4 PM or 8 AM–5 PM), Monday–Friday, reporting to the Recruitment Manager. Your first 30 days are fully dedicated to onboarding. KPI expectations begin at Day 90: Matching Interview Pass Rate ≥60% (monthly), Hire Hit Rate ≥15%, Drop-off Rate <5%, and Daily Endorsements of 1–3 for niche reqs or 8 for custom hires.
Key Responsibilities
- Hunt candidates across LinkedIn, job boards, and online communities — testing Boolean strings until the right people surface
- Partner with recruiters to know exactly what "qualified" means for each req
- Screen for real fit and real interest before anyone gets endorsed up the chain
- Schedule niche and custom-hire interviews yourself — scheduling isn't an afterthought here
- Log everything in Penthouse (internal tool) so nothing falls through the cracks
Qualifications & Technical Requirements
- 1–3 years of dedicated sourcing experience — you already think like a sourcer
- Boolean search is second nature to you
- You can juggle multiple reqs at once without dropping a thread
- Professional written and verbal English
- WFH-ready: 8GB+ RAM, i5/Ryzen 5+, 40 Mbps+ internet with backup, noise-cancelling headset
