Job description

Manager, Product Marketing
Location: Remote | Full-Time

RethinkFirst is seeking a strategic, hands-on Manager, Product Marketing to lead and develop a team while directly owning product marketing for key lines of business. This role translates customer, market, product, and performance insights into clear positioning, pricing and packaging, go-to-market strategies, and growth recommendations in close partnership with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Marketing.

In This Role You Will

Lead the Team and Portfolio

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of product marketers, setting clear priorities, expectations, and standards for high-quality work.

  • Directly own product marketing strategy and execution for designated lines of business, from market assessment through launch, adoption, and growth.

  • Partner with Product and business leaders to shape roadmaps, commercialization priorities, investment decisions, and growth plans.

Define Market and Commercial Strategy

  • Develop a clear view of customers, competitors, market dynamics, and whitespace through research, win/loss insights, product data, and field feedback.

  • Own segmentation, ideal customer profiles, competitive intelligence, and TAM/SAM/SOM analysis to inform where and how the company can win.

  • Turn market and business insights into actionable recommendations for product investment, revenue planning, and routes to market.

Shape the Offer and Bring It to Market

  • Lead positioning, messaging, value propositions, buyer insights, and competitive differentiation for assigned businesses.

  • Own pricing and packaging strategy in partnership with Product, Finance, Sales, and business leadership, using customer value, competitive context, product economics, and deal data to guide decisions.

  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new products, major enhancements, and packaging changes, aligning teams on audiences, objectives, readiness, enablement, and measures of success.

Enable Growth and Measure Impact

  • Equip Sales and Customer Success with the narratives, tools, training, and competitive guidance needed to win, retain, and expand customers.

  • Partner with Customer Success and Sales to identify customer advocates and translate testimonials, reference stories, and case studies into compelling proof points for campaigns, sales conversations, and executive audiences.

  • Track adoption and commercial performance, including pipeline influence, conversion, win rate, retention, expansion, and price realization, and adjust strategies based on results.

  • Communicate priorities, insights, risks, and recommendations clearly to executives and cross-functional partners.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of product marketing, go-to-market strategy, or related experience in B2B SaaS or another complex solution environment, including 3+ years of people management.

  • Demonstrated ownership of a product, portfolio, or line of business and a record of turning market insight into adoption, growth, or improved commercial performance.

  • Hands-on experience with pricing and packaging, TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, segmentation, customer research, competitive intelligence, positioning, messaging, and product launches.

  • Experience building customer advocacy programs, developing testimonials, and creating case studies that connect customer outcomes to market positioning and revenue growth.

  • Experience partnering with enterprise Sales, Product, Customer Success, Finance, and Marketing teams through complex decisions and launches.

  • Strong people leadership with the judgment to set direction, delegate meaningful ownership, give clear feedback, and step into the work when needed.

  • Commercial and analytical fluency, including the ability to structure ambiguous questions, test assumptions, interpret data, and make defensible recommendations.

  • Excellent writing, storytelling, presentation, project management, and executive communication skills, with the ability to make complex products and decisions easy to understand and move cross-functional teams toward action.

  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with incomplete information.

  • Experience in healthcare, education technology, human capital, or another regulated or specialized B2B market is preferred.
