Product Marketing Manager

About Subsplash

Subsplash is the platform churches use to run their ministry and engage their congregations. We bring the tools a church needs—apps, websites, giving, media, church management—onto one platform with one bill and one login. We serve roughly 20,000+ churches, ministries, and nonprofits across the US and Canada, and the 40 million people who use our platform every day.

Our team of 280+ people is committed to humility, innovation, and excellence. We've built more than 30 firsts for the church market, including the first-ever church mobile app, and we've built enterprise software for brands like Xbox, Microsoft, Samsung, Expedia, and Cisco. Working at Subsplash means doing meaningful work with people who care about getting it right.

Working at Subsplash is more than just a job; we are a team of people who are courageous, inventive, and passionate about doing meaningful work every day. Don’t take our word for it—head to Glassdoor and see for yourself

About the Team

The Marketing Team’s primary responsibilities are to communicate the value of the Subsplash platform to the world—managing all outward-facing communications, leading demand generation efforts, creating go-to-market product strategies, facilitating brand management/identity, and more. We create beautiful and effective email campaigns, social media strategies, website content, product identities, videos, and more. We identify prospects and nurture them into quality leads for our sales team. For existing clients, we help them understand and engage with our products and new features. We have fun moving projects from concept to reality, and discovering what works well to help Subsplash and our clients succeed.

About the Role

As the Product Marketing Manager, you’ll report to our Sr. Product Marketing Manager and be the second member of a growing product marketing function, supporting positioning, messaging, and growth strategy for Subsplash's expansive portfolio of church tech products.

You'll partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales to bring new products and features to market, specializing in direct-to-consumer products and features that advance product-led growth strategies. You have a keen understanding of customer lifecycle management, including free trials, Product Qualified Leads (PQLs), up-sell and cross-sell opportunities. This is a hands-on role: you'll closely review the copy, partner with other leaders to monitor the adoption funnel, and use product data to find areas for growth.

You are passionate about understanding consumer behavior and meeting the needs of our clients. You are skilled at building compelling, benefit-oriented product narratives that tell the story of how Subsplash products add value, from product trials to the complete Subsplash Platform. You have experience managing multiple business units and brands, numerous products, and complex feature sets to create a seamless, cohesive, and compelling narrative. You are an expert and have a proven track record of developing strong and compelling end-to-end go-to-market plans that drive awareness, traffic, and conversions in partnership with other marketing leaders and functional disciples.

Your Priorities

  • Lead go-to-market execution, positioning, and messaging for Subsplash's self-serve, direct-to-consumer product lines as we grow the platform into new audiences.
  • Design and continuously optimize the customer lifecycle, from awareness to trial to purchase to upgrade—using product usage and funnel analytics to find where it's leaking and where the biggest conversion opportunities are.
  • Create exciting, benefit oriented, and clever product narratives to create compelling copy for headlines, webpages, email campaigns, and more, differentiating between product-led and sales-led strategies.
  • Work closely with Marketing Team members to create messaging and campaigns that generate demand and drive revenue.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally and be a bridge between the Sales, Marketing and Product teams, as well as key stakeholders from the executive team.
  • Work with Product Management, Business Development, and the Executive team to strategically assess and review the product roadmap and establish the greatest opportunity for success and added revenue, while creating internal alignment and prioritization.
  • Attend Product Team Sprint Reviews as a marketing advocate for the Product Team and a product advocate for the Marketing Team.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the competitive landscape for both sales-led and direct-to-consumer offerings in the church tech space.

Qualifications

  • Models humility, innovation, and a drive for excellence
  • 3+ years of professional experience in product marketing or growth marketing, with direct experience in a B2B SaaS. B2C product marketing or marketing experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with product marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Pendo, Arcade, Hubspot, Thoughtspot, or similar) to promote and track funnel performance.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS growth metrics: activation rate, trial-to-paid conversion, PQL volume, expansion revenue.
  • Comfortable and proficient with AI models and platforms (Claude, Gemini, etc) to improve efficiencies, workflows, and overall output.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience writing conversion-focused copy for self-serve landing pages and in-product messaging.
  • Comfortable building from ambiguity—you'll be supporting sales motions and competitive offerings that are new to the Subsplash platform.
  • Passionate about our products and how they can serve churches, ministries, and nonprofits.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple parallel projects while working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of GTM campaign planning, execution, and measurement.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field is a plus.
