Senior Calypso Infrastructure Engineer

At the core of the role

his project is focused on the operation, maintenance, optimization, and modernization of the Calypso platform within a global banking and financial services environment. The platform supports critical capital markets and trading operations, requiring a highly available, secure, and performance-driven infrastructure.

The team will be responsible for managing and enhancing the Calypso ecosystem, ensuring platform stability, reliability, and scalability. A key objective of the project is the migration and modernization of the existing infrastructure toward Microsoft Azure and modern data center technologies, leveraging cloud-native services, automation, and DevOps best practices.

Engineers will work across a broad technology landscape, including Calypso, Microsoft Azure, databases, middleware, deployment and release automation, scripting, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and alerting solutions, high-availability environments, and performance optimization. The role involves supporting production environments, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, implementing automation initiatives, and driving continuous improvements in platform operations.

Core skills you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience with Calypso infrastructure and platform support.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and modern cloud technologies.

• Experience with databases, middleware, CI/CD, and deployment automation.

• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar).

• Knowledge of monitoring, performance tuning, and high-availability environments.

• Experience in infrastructure modernization and cloud migration projects.

• Background in the banking, capital markets, or financial services sector is a plus.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

• Support and maintain the Calypso platform in a banking and capital markets environment.

• Ensure platform stability, performance, security, and high availability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and production issues.

• Manage and optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.

• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring solutions.

• Implement infrastructure improvements, performance tuning, and automation initiatives.

• Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver platform enhancements.

• Support infrastructure modernization and cloud migration projects.
