Job description

We’re looking for an organised, detail-focused Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day finances of two growing Australian businesses.

Dijitally helps businesses grow through digital marketing, creative, technology and embedded talent solutions. RoomStay is a technology business helping hotels, resorts and holiday parks drive more direct bookings.

Working across both businesses and closely with our Financial Controller, you’ll keep our books accurate, payments organised and financial records up to date.

What you’ll be doing

  • Accounts payable: Process supplier invoices, check coding and approvals, and prepare payment runs for authorisation.

  • Accounts receivable: Raise client invoices, allocate incoming payments, follow up overdue accounts and resolve billing queries.

  • Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and payment platforms, investigating discrepancies promptly.

  • Payroll support: Prepare payroll inputs, check timesheets and leave information, and assist with processing and reconciliations.

  • Month-end support: Keep ledgers current, maintain supporting schedules and prepare reconciliations for the Financial Controller’s review.

  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate documentation across both entities, including expenses and intercompany transactions.

  • Process improvements: Help simplify recurring tasks using Xero, automation and appropriate AI tools.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven bookkeeping experience supporting Australian businesses, ideally across multiple entities.

  • Strong hands-on Xero skills, including accounts payable, receivable and bank reconciliations; Xero certifications would be advantageous

  • Previous experience of payroll in Australia

  • A working understanding of Australian GST

  • Confidence using Google Sheets or Excel to organise data and investigate discrepancies.

  • Strong written and spoken English, with the confidence to follow up clients, suppliers and colleagues.

  • Excellent attention to detail, reliable follow-through and the judgement to flag issues early.

  • The ability to work independently in a remote team and manage deadlines across two businesses.

  • A reliable internet connection and availability to overlap with Australian business hours.

Experience in an agency, professional services or SaaS business would be helpful.

Why join us?

You’ll work with two different businesses, gain exposure to both digital services and technology, and grow your experience under the leadership of our Financial Controller. We value people who take ownership, communicate clearly and look for practical ways to make things work better.
