Job description

Distribution Engineer
Company: Client for Entergy account
Location: Remote / but want them sitting in Louisiana.
6M to perm
Pay:$65-$70/hr
Bill: 55% MU
Salary: $125K -$140K

  • Must be located within a commutable distance of Southern Louisiana (New Orleans, Baton Rouge, or Lafayette) to support local utility customers.
  • Remote-working capabilities, but in-person meetings and field work across the Louisiana customer territory are required as needed (travel ~25%, reimbursed).
  • Supports Client electric utility clients with overhead (OH), underground (UG), URD, make-ready, and street-light design packages using customer GIS and work-management systems.
  • Responsibilities include design engineering, quality control, scope/schedule/budget management, client reviews, field data collection, and coordination of utilities/ROW/permits.
  • Requirements: 5+ years relevant experience
  • BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred from ABET school);
  • NESC proficiency; knowledge of structural analysis, guying, cable pulling, protective devices, demand/fault calculations; reliable transportation.
  • PE required in LA.

Ideal Candidate: Pulling someone from Entergy. They did this for a PC role recently. Candidates like remote work and higher pay.
If we can't find LA - Open to candidates in Houston. This is the last resort.
