Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to strengthen our Clients, Products and Sales (CPS) Platform team. You will act as a key link between business and IT, translating business needs into clear and scalable requirements for the applications and processes that support our client, product and sales activities: primarily for our firm-wide CRM for deal pipeline, fundraising and investor management and our product management system. You will also contribute to the firm's flagship change initiatives.

This role is a great fit for a professional who wants to grow quickly in a broad, high-visibility environment at the intersection of business, data and technology, with the opportunity to take ownership and accountability for the end-to-end delivery of projects and enhancements (run-the-business).

In this role you will:

  • Gather, structure, and analyze business requirements from investment, business development, operations, and compliance teams, driving end-to-end change initiatives across the CPS application landscape while taking increasing ownership of delivery from requirements through go-live and user adoption in close collaboration with business stakeholders and IT;
  • Translate business requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications, data mappings, and acceptance criteria, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors to validate and deliver effective solutions;
  • Support the continuous evolution and refactoring of the CRM (objects, fields, dashboards, workflows, permissions) with a focus on simplification, user experience and adoption;
  • Support Product management system change and data quality improvement activities: define and refine master data attributes, data quality rules and data ownership, analyze data quality incidents and drive their remediation together with the data owners;
  • Document and validate interfaces and data flows between connected systems (e.g. fund accounting, data platform, investor portal), and assess the impact of changes on downstream applications;
  • Contribute to the implementation of the client onboarding and AML/KYC platform: capture requirements, map processes, support integration design and testing, and prepare the rollout to operations and compliance teams;
  • Maintain the product backlog for the applications in your scope, support prioritization and release planning together with the application owners, coordinate and perform testing (UAT and regression) and manage the business sign-off and approval process;
  • Map and analyze as-is and to-be business processes, identify pain points and opportunities for simplification and automation, and proactively drive their implementation;
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for business and IT on all matters related to CPS applications, prepare user documentation, training material and communications, and foster adoption across the firm.

Stay up to date on developments in CRM, master data management and onboarding technologies, and help identify, shape and implement AI use cases jointly with the AI teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on or consulting experience in business analysis, CRM, data management or operations, ideally in financial services;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field;
  • Good understanding of business processes and the underlying data, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa;
  • Experience with CRM systems, master data management or data quality topics is a strong plus; basic SQL and/or Power BI skills are a plus;
  • Knowledge of or interest in private markets, fund structures, investor management and/or AML/KYC and onboarding processes is a plus; awareness of data protection (GDPR/FADP) and financial regulatory requirements (AMLA/AMLR) is an advantage;
  • Experience with agile ways of working, backlog management and UAT coordination (e.g. in Azure DevOps or Jira) is a plus;
  • Self-starter mentality with a strong drive to get things done and take ownership of tasks and projects;
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and proactively identify possible enhancements;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail during requirements analysis, data validation and testing;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively across teams and with both business and IT stakeholders;
  • Fluent English; German is an advantage;
  • Great team player and ability to work collaboratively at various levels of the organization.
