Revenue Management Analyst

Location: Remote (Unless you live in Houston, TX or Miami, FL vicinity.)


About the Role

The Revenue Management Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the pricing, revenue optimization, and billing processes across World Fuel's North American Land fuel business. This position partners closely with Sales, Supply, Accounting, IT, and Revenue Management teams to ensure accurate pricing execution, identify margin improvement opportunities, and provide analytical support for commercial decision-making.


The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a customer-focused mindset and thrives in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, automation, and continuous improvement are key drivers of success. This role will also support strategic initiatives involving pricing system enhancements and future migration efforts, including implementation of next-generation fuel pricing platforms such as Gravitate Energy.


What You Will Do

Pricing Operations & Administration

  • Maintain and optimize customer pricing setups, formulas, contracts, and pricing exceptions.
  • Ensure pricing configurations are accurate, compliant, and aligned with customer agreements.
  • Monitor daily pricing processes and proactively identify discrepancies or system issues.
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Management teams to support pricing changes.

Revenue & Margin Analysis

  • Analyze pricing performance, gross margin results, and revenue trends across customer segments.
  • Investigate pricing variances, billing discrepancies, and margin leakage opportunities.
  • Develop recurring analyses to identify profit optimization opportunities.
  • Support reporting and ad hoc analysis for commercial leadership.

Billing & Reconciliation Analysis

  • Research billing disputes and pricing-related customer inquiries.
  • Validate pricing calculations and invoice accuracy.
  • Partner with Accounting, IT, and Operations teams to resolve revenue-impacting issues.
  • Support audit requests and documentation requirements.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through automation and workflow enhancements.
  • Build and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and automated solutions using Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies.
  • Contribute to data quality improvement initiatives, system enhancements and documentation of processes & knowledge bases.

Systems & Transformation Support

  • Assist with implementation and optimization of pricing and revenue management technologies.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.
  • Support future pricing platform migrations and transformation initiatives, including potential Gravitate Energy implementation projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for pricing-related processes and data structures.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Revenue Management, Pricing, Business Analysis, Finance, Commercial Operations, Energy, or related analytical roles.
  • Experience supporting pricing systems, revenue management platforms, or quote-to-cash processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • Power Query
    • Complex formulas
    • Data analysis and modeling
  • Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within fuel, energy, commodities, logistics, distribution, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of index-based pricing methodologies (OPIS, DTN, rack pricing, etc.).
  • Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Experience using Alteryx or similar data preparation and automation tools.
  • Experience supporting software implementations or system migrations.
  • Familiarity with Gravitate Energy pricing software or similar commercial pricing platforms.
  • Understanding of contract pricing structures, rebates, surcharges, taxes, and billing processes.
