Job description

This is a remote position.

Superlanet is seeking an experienced Epic Business Intelligence Report Developer for our healthcare client in Texas. This is a remote, direct-hire position with quarterly travel potentially required for key organizational milestones.

The Epic Business Intelligence Report Developer serves as a subject matter expert and technical resource responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic reporting solutions across Revenue Cycle, Clinical, and Operational functions.

This individual will partner closely with clinical and operational stakeholders, Epic application teams, IT, data warehouse teams, and end users to understand business and reporting requirements and translate them into effective, scalable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Epic reporting and business intelligence solutions supporting Revenue Cycle, Clinical, and Operational functions.

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business and reporting requirements into technical specifications and reporting solutions.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic reporting capabilities, tools, workflows, and data.

  • Lead and support reporting projects from requirements gathering through development, testing, implementation, and post-production support.

  • Develop and optimize reports to support operational performance, clinical workflows, revenue cycle initiatives, regulatory requirements, and organizational decision-making.

  • Troubleshoot complex reporting, data, and application issues and coordinate resolution across Epic application, technical, and data teams.

  • Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, optimization initiatives, and system changes that impact reporting or downstream data.

  • Validate report accuracy, data integrity, functionality, and performance prior to deployment.

  • Collaborate with data warehouse and analytics teams to ensure appropriate use and interpretation of Epic data.

  • Maintain technical documentation, reporting specifications, testing documentation, and support procedures.

  • Provide guidance and reporting expertise to end users, analysts, leadership, and cross-functional project teams.

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, standardization, performance, and overall usability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a health, science, business, information technology, informatics, or related field, or at least five years of relevant experience supporting clinical, ancillary, or business environments in lieu of a degree.

  • Active Epic Cogito Certification or Accreditation

  • Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, healthcare informatics, data management, and reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing, developing, and supporting information systems within a large-scale healthcare organization.

  • Hands-on experience with Epic report development, configuration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical reporting specifications and solutions.

  • Experience supporting reporting projects involving multiple applications, departments, or stakeholder groups.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, operational, IT, Epic application, and data warehouse teams.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to independently manage priorities and reporting deliverables in a complex, fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of clinical information systems or healthcare IT experience.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting major EHR implementations, configurations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives.

  • Additional Epic certifications, accreditations, or proficiencies in related applications or reporting technologies.

  • Experience developing reporting solutions across multiple functional areas, particularly Revenue Cycle, Clinical, and Operational reporting.

  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting optimization, upgrades, application enhancements, and data initiatives.

  • ITIL Foundation Certification.



Benefits

Salary based on qualifications and experience $100,000 - $135,000
