Job description

Welo Data is seeking native-level Spanish (Spain) speakers for Project Hydrus, a conversational AI voice recording project.

What You'll Do:

  • Submit two short audition recordings demonstrating natural conversational speech and customer-service style
  • Participate in two supervised recording sessions of approximately 4 hours each
  • Record scripted material in a natural, everyday conversational tone
    Record spontaneous speech on assigned topics while maintaining consistent warmth and pace
  • Follow live direction from a Session Director during supervised sessions
    Manage your own home recording space and professional audio equipment
  • Record entirely in the required Spanish dialect without switching to other languages or dialects

Requirements:

  • Native or native-equivalent fluency in Spanish (Spain)
  • Experience as a voice actor, actor, theater performer, or comparable performance background
  • Access to a quiet, echo-free recording environment
    Professional-grade microphone for auditions, with qualifying recording equipment for paid sessions
  • Closed-back monitoring headphones for supervised recording sessions
    Ability to self-direct auditions and follow live recording instructions
  • Basic audio recording skills, including microphone positioning and identifying background noise, clipping, and distortion

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Professional voice-over experience in dubbing, ADR, audiobooks, or conversational podcasting
  • An existing acoustically treated home recording studio

Location: Remote (Spain)
Pay: $40/hour
Duration: Approximately 8 hours total
Sessions: Two supervised sessions, approximately 4 hours each
