The Strategic Accounts Executive is responsible for owning and growing assigned Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), health systems, academic medical centers, and strategic healthcare organizations. This role serves as Leica Biosystems' executive-facing commercial leader within assigned accounts and is accountable for revenue growth, market share expansion, competitive displacement, enterprise opportunity creation, and execution of strategic account plans. The Strategic Account Executive is expected to operate with a hunter mindset while building executive relationships that drive measurable business outcomes. This role identifies where Leica Biosystems can win, develops account growth strategies, influences key decision makers, mobilizes cross-functional resources, and leads enterprise opportunities from qualification through close. Success is measured by revenue growth, market share gain, competitive conversions, enterprise opportunity creation, and achievement of commercial objectives.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Strategic & Corporate Accounts and is part of the Strategic Accounts Team, working remotely to support assigned customers within the designated geography.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Own revenue growth, market share expansion, and overall commercial performance across assigned health systems, IDNs, academic medical centers, and strategic healthcare organizations.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that identify customer priorities, competitive opportunities, and a clear path to win.
  • Create, advance, and close enterprise opportunities by aligning Leica Biosystems' portfolio and capabilities to customer business objectives and investment priorities.
  • Establish executive-level relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to accelerate opportunity progression and support long-term growth.
  • Mobilize cross-functional resources to execute account strategies, remove barriers, and accelerate revenue growth, competitive wins, and share gain.

The essential requirements of the job include: 

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of healthcare sales, strategic account management, business development, diagnostics, medical device, healthcare technology, or capital equipment experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience engaging C-suite executives and senior decision makers within large health systems, IDNs, GPOs, academic medical centers, or enterprise healthcare customers. 
  • Proven ability to own strategic account plans, lead executive customer conversations, and drive enterprise opportunities through execution in a matrixed commercial environment. 
  • Strong negotiation, executive presentation, customer relationship management, and cross-functional leadership skills. 
  • Ability to interpret customer priorities, healthcare market dynamics, enterprise business needs, and financial drivers into actionable growth strategies. 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: 

  • Travel: 50-75%
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel overnight for territory coverage, customer engagements, internal meetings, and company meetings. 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

  • MBA, MHA, or other advanced business, healthcare, or scientific degree. 
  • Experience working with academic medical centers, complex health systems, or enterprise healthcare customers. 
  • Experience leading or supporting enterprise healthcare RFPs, system-wide agreements, strategic partnerships, or complex commercial negotiations. 
  • Understanding of hospital operating financials, healthcare economics, value analysis processes, and IDN decision-making structures. 
  • Experience using DBS tools to support account planning, funnel management, problem solving, countermeasures, and execution discipline.

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $170,000. This role is also eligible for Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC). The total target compensation at plan (base + SIC) is $220,000 – $250,000 annually. Actual SIC earnings may exceed or fall below the target based on individual sales performance. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
