Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Construction Delivery to own construction delivery outcomes across our growing global data center site portfolio — from managing GC and landlord performance on leased sites to owning full entitlement-to-CO delivery on owned, powered-land sites. The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of construction management leadership in mission-critical or data center construction, with experience on the owner's-representative side, the ground-up development side, or both. This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require frequent travel across our active site

portfolio, direct ownership of GC contract negotiations and delivery budgets of $25M+, and the ability to represent construction risk directly to executive leadership. This is your opportunity to join our fast growing team and leave your mark on Vultr and the future of Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set portfolio-level construction strategy and own delivery risk across all active sites, whether leased or owned

  • Manage GC and landlord relationship escalation on leased sites

  • Negotiate GC selection, RFPs, and contracts (GMP or lump-sum) directly on owned, powered-land sites

  • Own the tenant/fit-out delivery schedule on leased sites

  • Own the full entitlement-to-CO schedule and budget on owned sites

  • Represent construction delivery directly to the VP of Development & Construction

  • Oversee the Regional Construction Managers and the Startup and Turnover Manager

  • Direct the design team (architect/engineer) on owned-site projects

  • Coordinate site development sequencing (grading, foundations, shell, core) with Civil Engineering and Energy teams

  • Own the cost and schedule controls interfaces into the Construction Delivery function

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 12+ years of construction management/delivery leadership in mission-critical construction, including owner's-representative/landlord-managed oversight and/or ground-up development construction as principal

  • Proven track record managing large-scale, complex construction programs and budgets of $25M+

  • PMP or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification preferred

  • Experience with hyperscaler or colocation build programs (AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft, or comparable) and/or ground-up data center development as principal, land through CO, preferred

  • Experience managing capital partner or JV stakeholder relationships through a development lifecycle a plus

Compensation

$220,000 - $340,000

Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
