The Opportunity

As Manager, Operations Strategy & Insights, you will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that improve business performance, operational efficiency, and growth across one of North America’s largest networks of dental practices. You will own projects from problem definition and analysis through recommendation, implementation, and measurement of results.  This hands-on role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical capability, and the ability to partner with senior leaders across Operations, Finance, and other Support Centre teams to turn complex data into practical actions and measurable outcomes.

This is a senior individual-contributor role with significant project leadership and stakeholder management responsibility. It does not currently include direct people management.

You are a curious, data-driven problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments. You bring structure and clarity to complex challenges and are motivated by opportunities to influence strategy and drive meaningful impact. You take pride in delivering high-quality analysis that supports smarter decisions and enjoy balancing independent execution with strong collaboration. As someone who strives for excellence, you’re excited to contribute to the continued success of one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.

In This Role, You Will
Operational Strategy Design & Implementation

  • Lead the design, execution, and evaluation of initiatives that improve efficiency, standardization, and performance.
  • Develop operational playbooks, lead pilot programs, and translate rollout results into recommendations for scaling, adjusting, or discontinuing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to execute initiatives that create strategic value.

Practice Growth Enablement

  • Leverage data and insights and advanced modelling to uncover revenue growth levers such as optimizing provider schedules, chair utilization, or operating hours.
  • Identify business constraints and design strategies to remove bottlenecks, enhance performance, and scale growth across the network.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop forecasting models to project revenue, labour demand, and operational performance at the practice, region, and national level.
  • Enhance forecasts with targeted analyses of operational drivers such as practice days closed, provider absences, and vacation schedules, etc.
  • Work closely with Finance and Operations to align forecasts with broader business plans, helping leadership understand the implications of various growth and cost scenarios.

Performance Insights & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that track business performance across key metrics (revenue, labour productivity, provider utilization, scheduling compliance).
  • Conduct root cause analysis to explain performance trends and highlight opportunities for improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with field teams to ensure seamless execution of optimization plans.
  • Align implementation with strategic goals and ensure field feedback is integrated into ongoing improvements.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, and HR to align strategic objectives and share insights that drive coordinated action and organizational success.

What You’ll Bring

  • Professional Experience: 3+ years experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or analytical role within dynamic, fast-paced environments is required. Experience managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously.

  • Data Storytelling: Skilled at translating data into compelling narratives that influence decisions and drive action.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communicator with experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Initiative and Ownership: Takes full accountability for deliverables and continuously seeks ways to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Ability to Influence Outcomes: Skilled at driving accountability and influencing outcomes across cross-functional teams, including navigating difficult performance or delivery conversations without having direct reporting authority
  • Adaptability: Thrives in changing environments, quickly learns and pivots based on evolving business needs.
