Field Service Professional/Electrician

You will be the face of Vivint, installing cutting-edge smart home technology while proactively identifying and selling upgraded solutions to provide customers with total peace of mind.

Vivint, named one of Forbes’ World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies, is looking for Field Service Technicians/Electricians with the correct license to join our nationally recognized team. In the state of Washington, the required license is an EL06.

A Day in the Life:

As a Field Professional, you are the ultimate smart home expert. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Technical Excellence: Installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
  • Consultative Sales: Evaluating customer homes to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements on-site.
  • Customer Education: Training homeowners on how to use their new system to help protect their families.
  • Growth: Benefiting from consistent coaching and leadership training to advance within our national organization.

What We’re Looking For:

We hire for attitude and train for skill. Whether you are an experienced technician or a sales professional looking for a hands-on career change, we want to hear from you if you have:

  • A Sales Mindset: Experience in retail, business-to-consumer (B2C) sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a strong advantage.
  • Customer-First Attitude: Ability to act with integrity while building rapport and trust with diverse customers.
  • Technical Aptitude: Experience in cable or satellite installation, pest control, construction, or solar industries is helpful but not required.
  • Requirements: A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Ability to successfully pass post-offer background screening and licensing requirements in accordance with applicable laws. In the state of Washington, the required license is an EL06.  

Physical Requirements of the Role:

The successful candidate must be able to safely perform the following essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Climb and descend extension and step ladders with tools and equipment on a repeated basis.
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • Enter and perform work in attics where:
    • Temperatures may exceed 110°F for short periods.
    • Openings can be as small as 16” x 30” or 18” x 24”.
    • Crawling, kneeling, crouching, and working in awkward postures may be required for up to 60 minutes at a time.
    • Maintain three points of contact while navigating or traversing across trusses without stepping on drywall between trusses.
  • Operate a company vehicle repeatedly.
  • Perform work while standing for extended periods.
  • Perform outdoor work with potential for bee stings 
  • Perform computer and telephone work while seated as needed.

The base hourly range for this position is: $24.48 - $26.70* *The base hourly range above represents the low and high end of the hourly range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, the position may be eligible to participate in the benefits program which include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
