Title: Senior Database Engineer - Google Cloud Spanner

Location: Remote 
Employment Type: Contract

Compensation:
Pay Range: $100.00-$140.00 Per HR

Job Summary:
• Our client is seeking a skilled professional to fill a remote contract position as a Senior Database Engineer. 
• The role involves supporting the migration of legacy database environments to a cloud-based database platform, focusing on architecture, replication, optimization, and ongoing operations.

Description:
• Lead the migration of legacy database environments to a cloud-based platform.
• Design and optimize database structures specific to the new platform.
• Configure data capture between cloud and local environments.
• Develop synchronization and replication solutions.
• Support data pipelines and reporting workloads.
• Design high availability and disaster recovery environments.
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Convert legacy schemas to cloud-based schemas.
• Design and optimize database structures for specific platform use.
• Build synchronization and replication solutions.
• Develop data pipelines using industry-standard tools.
