Translates unique prospect requirements into differentiated solutions that integrate the organization’s technology, operational, and clinical capabilities, and serves as a senior solutions consulting resource for business, technical, and executive stakeholders throughout the presales process.
The Solutions Consulting Director is a recognized subject-matter expert who operates with minimal supervision and helps shape solutions consulting practices and infrastructure across the broader organization. Decisions impact outcomes beyond individual pursuits, including how the function partners with commercial, product and client teams. This job proactively addresses undefined and ambiguous problems, makes recommendations that influence organizational strategy, and synthesizes input across multiple stakeholder groups and functions.
How will you make an impact & Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a senior solutions consulting resource for employer prospects, working in close, sustained alignment with one to two enterprise sales executives to bring deep segment expertise and a consistent solution point of view across the employer pipeline.
- Participate in complex discovery with business, clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders to identify requirements, dependencies, constraints, and opportunities that shape proposed solutions.
- Develop tailored solution architectures, integration approaches, implementation considerations, and value narratives for opportunities involving unique or ambiguous client requirements.
- Lead and deliver executive-level solution demonstrations and narratives for employer pursuits, translating solution architecture into a compelling story for business, clinical, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead technical and clinical solution development for assigned RFPs, due diligence processes, and other client evaluations, coordinating authoritative responses across product, clinical, operations, technology, and other subject-matter experts.
- Define and improve solutions consulting standards for discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and presales documentation to strengthen consistency and quality across pursuits.
- Partner with other members of the solutions team and cross-functional stakeholders, to help evolve the processes, standards, and working practices that support solutions consulting—raising the bar on how the team operates and strengthening how solutions consulting works across the organization.
- Synthesize competitive intelligence, market information, client feedback, and pursuit outcomes to recommend changes to solution positioning and solutions consulting practices.
- Advise sales and cross-functional leaders on complex solution questions and provide guidance to other solutions consultants on high-risk or ambiguous client situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required
- 10+ years of experience in solutions consulting, sales engineering, technical sales, or comparable client-facing solution design work in healthcare, managed care, or health technology.
- Deep expertise in healthcare technology, clinical and operational solutions, or managed care platforms, with the ability to design solutions involving complex and ambiguous client requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex presales engagements, including discovery, solution design, technical or clinical evaluation, and executive-level client presentations.
- Experience developing solution architectures, integration approaches, implementation considerations, or other complex solution designs for enterprise clients.
- Experience helping evolve processes, standards, or working practices within an existing team, with sensitivity to institutional knowledge and established ways of working.
- Experience partnering with Product organizations or similar cross-functional groups to translate field and client input into actionable feedback.
- Proficiency with CRM, demonstration, and RFP platforms used to manage complex presales pursuits and solution development.
- Exceptional consultative communication, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional influence skills, including the ability to guide others through complex client situations.
Compensation Range:
$144,368.00
to
$216,552.00
The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
