Job description

About The Role

The Pricing Analyst will support Passport’s commercial and network strategy through hands-on cost analysis, pricing support, and routing execution. This role will own the day-to-day routing workflow: evaluating shipment and service data, translating approved network decisions into routing rules and files, validating changes before launch, and monitoring results. The analyst will work with Commercial, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to balance cost, transit time, service coverage, and operational requirements, and will document repeatable processes so the work can scale.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze shipment and routing performance by country, carrier, service, zone, weight, cost, transit time, and relevant surcharges.

  • Validate carrier/vendor rate cards and identify cost changes

  • Compare routing options and quantify expected cost, transit-time, service, and operational impacts to support network and customer decisions.

  • Update pricing models and support pricing requests using Passport’s Rates Management System and pricing templates.

  • Own routing implementation by converting approved network decisions into routing rules, rate tables, and system-ready files; test outputs and resolve gaps before changes go live.

  • Monitor routing results after implementation, investigate unexpected cost or service outcomes, and recommend practical corrections. Document routing logic, controls, and recurring workflows to improve accuracy and team coverage.

Success Factors

Within 30 days

  • Complete full training on Passport’s international shipping capabilities

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Passport’s delivery network and options

  • Complete assigned routing and cost analyses within agreed timelines, typically within 5 business days.

Within 60 days

  • Independently prepare, validate, and deliver routing changes based on approved decisions within agreed timelines, typically within 5 business days.

  • Complete training on the Rates Management System and pricing templates.

  • Fully generate pricing requests in the Rates Management System

Within 90 days

  • Analyze YoY network cost changes and support annual rate updates.

  • Independently manage recurring routing workflows from analysis and documentation through implementation support, validation, and follow-up.

  • Contribute to documentation that improves redundancy within the team.

What We're Looking For

  • Analytical Skills – ability to interpret complex shipment, cost, and pricing data and translate it into actionable insights

  • Pricing and Routing Competency – understanding of carrier cost structures, rate cards, service options, routing rules, and the cost, transit, and customer impacts of routing choices

  • AI & Automation Mindset –interest in leveraging AI tools to improve analysis, modeling, and workflows; AI experience is a plus, but curiosity and willingness to apply AI in day-to-day work are expected

  • Data Analysis Tools – proficiency in Excel for modeling and data manipulation; SQL experience preferred for working with large datasets

  • Communication Skills – ability to clearly present cost drivers, risks, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders

  • Routing and Data Accuracy – high level of accuracy in routing rules, rate tables, shipment data, cost models, and pricing outputs; ability to test edge cases and identify gaps before launch

  • Industry Knowledge – familiarity with logistics, shipping, or e-commerce is a plus but not required

  • Team Player – ability to collaborate across commercial, operations, and product teams

  • Routing Judgment – ability to apply routing rules consistently, recognize exceptions, and escalate decisions that require network or commercial approval

  • Trustworthy – ability to operate independently, manage sensitive pricing data, and align with company goals
