Job description

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our growing team.

Job Description

Designs, develops, secures, and improves Oracle-based relational and multidimensional data environments. The Data Architect II uses Oracle SQL and PL/SQL to support efficient database management and automation and applies strong performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and high-availability practices to protect data integrity and service continuity.

  • Define, design, develop, and maintain relational and multidimensional Oracle database structures supporting enterprise applications, data warehouses, and data marts.
  • Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL queries, procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and automation scripts for efficient database management and repeatable operations.
  • Review schemas, indexes, execution plans, queries, and database workloads; identify bottlenecks and implement performance-tuning improvements.
  • Develop and maintain data acquisition, integration, migration, archival, backup, recovery, and continuity strategies in coordination with database administrators and technical teams.
  • Apply database security practices, including access controls, least privilege, secure coding, auditing, and protection of sensitive information to preserve confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Support high availability, production readiness, monitoring, troubleshooting, standards, metadata, documentation, and continuous improvement across test and production environments.

Required Skills/Level of Experience:

  • Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL
  • Stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and automation
  • Relational and multidimensional data modeling
  • Query optimization, execution-plan analysis, indexing, and performance tuning
  • Backup, recovery, archival, migration, and continuity planning
  • High availability, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support
  • Database security, access controls, least privilege, and auditing
  • Data warehousing, metadata, integration, and data marts

At least 3 years of relevant experience with an Associate degree. Experience should include Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, database design, automation, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, high availability, data integration, and support of test or production database environments.

Compensation: $54-58/hour
