Title: Category Merchandising Specialist Pay: $21.00–$25.00/hour
Hours: Monday–Friday; 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Fully Remote - EST
Overview Seeking a detail-oriented Category Merchandising Specialist to provide administrative and operational support within a merchandising department. This role supports category management, promotional planning, pricing, assortment, vendor coordination, and order processing. The position requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience entering and maintaining information across multiple systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and review spreadsheets, templates, and basic reports.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
Job Description
  • Enter and maintain promotional planning information and communicate updates to appropriate teams and regions.
  • Maintain accurate assortment and shelf information within merchandising systems.
  • Enter and update pricing information, deals, and promotional activity.
  • Assist Category Managers with contracts, deals, promotions, documentation, and recordkeeping.
  • Gather, compile, and organize information to support category and business planning.
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets, templates, and reports.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer questions and requests.
  • Coordinate with internal business planning teams, vendors, retailers, and regional partners.
  • Process exception orders and perform order entry.
  • Review and approve vendor promotions.
  • Provide vendor support, including coordination of samples and products.
  • Perform additional merchandising and administrative support duties as needed.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic understanding of category management, merchandising, promotional planning, pricing, or retail operations.
  • Previous experience supporting vendors or customers.
  • Experience with merchandising, promotional planning, pricing, or order-management systems.
  • Retail or supply chain industry experience.
Education Requirements
  • Associate degree (2-year degree) or equivalent relevant experience.
