Job Description

We help our clients turn data into measurable value. From data platforms and analytics to AI-powered applications, we develop smart solutions for complex projects across industry, real estate, and infrastructure.

As a Solution Engineer, you play a key role at the interface between our clients, solution architects, and product developers. You translate business needs into viable data and AI solutions, guide their implementation, and make sure they deliver real value in client projects.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the trusted point of contact for clients on Smart, Data & AI topics, from first needs assessment through to solution rollout.
  • Analyze business processes and translate client requirements into functional and technical requirements, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work with solution architects to design data architectures, data models, analytics solutions, and AI use cases that fit the client's context.
  • Support the implementation of data, analytics, and AI solutions together with developers, architects, and data engineers.
  • Assess requirements against existing standard solutions, configuration options, and the need for new development.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops, demos, user acceptance tests, and solution validations with clients and project teams.
  • Support clients with adoption, training, and change management activities and feed project learnings back into solution development.
  • Communicate complex technical and analytical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Smart, Data & AI offerings, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Take ownership beyond advisory services by actively leading and supporting the delivery and deployment of solutions, ensuring concepts are successfully translated into operational outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in consulting, business analysis, solution engineering, or solution design within data, analytics, or AI-related projects.
  • Proven experience working in a client-facing role between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, analytics solutions, BI concepts, and the fundamentals of machine learning and generative AI.
  • Experience in requirements engineering, process analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workshop facilitation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, roles, and permission concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, data analysis, or AI technologies is considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, a structured approach to problem-solving, and the confidence to challenge requirements constructively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and German.
