Wonderly

Computer Software / SaaS

Wonderly helps local services SMBs actually benefit from AI and triple their revenue. For 25 years, business software sold tools, not outcomes - seats, subscriptions, agencies, and hours, all paid upfront while the business owner carried all the risk. Then AI came - tech companies started charging for tokens, runs, resolutions, tasks - small & immediate outcomes. But still unclear how or if they translate into money. Wonderly changes all of that. We sell the ultimate outcome: money made. Wonderly is an AI-native OS with a self-improving revenue engine for local services SMBs; we get paid when that engine generates incremental revenue for our customers. We're creating a new category called Growth Backing. Starting with local services SMB, our AI agents run the entire customer journey — from outreach and sales through fulfillment and revenue collected — doing work that used to require a best-in-class GTM team, sales team, finance team, and operations team. Most Main Street businesses could never find or afford that caliber of talent. Our AI agents deliver it, never sleep, and get better with every customer we win. Software sold seats. Agencies sold hours. Wonderly gets paid for revenue. We own the ultimate outcome - the only way small businesses can actually benefit from AI. We're hiring people who want to build the company that backs outcomes, not tools, and help mainstream businesses actually benefit from AI. → https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/wonderly

Job description

About Wonderly

Wonderly gives Main Street businesses the AI agents, capital, and growth team they need to scale, and charges nothing for any of it. We only get paid one way: when they make real money. We own the entire system of record, all business applications (we replace ServiceTitan, House Call Pro, RingCentral, Squarespace, Docusign, Square, and a dozen other applications), and dozens of AI agents ourselves embedded natively inside our business applications, with native data read & write access to our system of record. As a result, we can deploy dozens of production-ready AI Agents to our customers in under 30 minutes with no FDEs, no integrations, and no data cleaning work.

Wonderly has the most result-driven business model, because we’ve proven our system and AI Agents work. We are not trying to sell our customers a dream - we deliver real revenue and profit to our customers. All of our software and AI Agents are free - we charge a % of revenue we deliver for our customers. Each of our 10+ core AI Agents help improve their revenue by 5-20%. This is the ultimate outcome-based pricing, only possible when you own the entire end-to-end system and all the agents yourself.

Wonderly already has PMF and has gone from 0 → 1 (we are happy to share more over a call), with very clear moat and deep industry knowledge that took a team of 70 hardcore A-players 18 months of stealth to build. We believe Wonderly has the potential to be a $100B - $1T outcome. The market is massive: home service businesses across North America (a $2T market). We’ve raised over $50M from top-tier investors, have $20M a year in free cashflow from another product line (Motion) - all that $ gets pumped into Wonderly.

About the Hiring Manager

Hey, I'm Bishop, Head of Customer Experience at Wonderly.

I started in FP&A, realized I wanted to be in the middle of building something instead of analyzing it from the outside, and ended up here.

I'm hiring early-career AEs who can talk to service business owners, understand their business quickly, and bring in the right customers. The bar is high. The work is fast. The reps are constant.

The Role

You will run the front of our funnel.

That means:

  • Talking to service business owners every day

  • Understanding their business quickly: what they do, who they serve, where their funnel is leaking

  • Deciding who's a fit for Wonderly and who isn't

  • Communicating clearly what we do and what they should expect

  • Owning the customer's first experience with Wonderly

The work is high-volume and customer-facing. The decisions you make on each call have direct downstream effects on whether customers succeed.

What Makes This Role Different

Most early-career AE roles are pipeline-management jobs. You log activity in a CRM, send follow-up emails for weeks, manage handoffs, optimize for booked calls. The bar is activity.

The bar here is judgment. You're talking to small business owners who've been around for years, in industries you've never worked in. Your job is to understand their business in 10 minutes and make a real call about whether Wonderly is right for them. Then bring them in clean or send them away clean.

You'll get more reps, more depth on each conversation, and more accountability than at most traditional sales orgs. The work is closer to a partner-track role at a top firm than a typical SaaS AE.

Backgrounds That Tend to Work

People from these backgrounds tend to thrive:

  • New grads from competitive schools who ran something significant in college

  • 1–2 years at a fast-growing startup in a closing role

  • Anyone who has sold their own product or run their own business

  • Top performers from high-volume inside-sales orgs

  • Consulting backgrounds with strong client-facing skills

What matters more than the resume:

  • You quickly understand businesses you've never seen before

  • You're confident on calls without being aggressive

  • You can disqualify cleanly when someone doesn't fit

  • You measure yourself on outcomes, not activity

  • You like talking to people all day

Expectations

  • 60–70 hour weeks during this growth phase. We're at a hacker house in Las Vegas as I write this.

  • Real ownership within your first 2 weeks

  • Performance is transparent

  • The role evolves quickly as the company evolves

Compensation

  • $80,000–$150,000 base

  • Equity in Wonderly

  • Remote (North America & Canada), with regular in-person at hacker houses

Wonderly is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with respect and given equal opportunities.
