About the role

The Corporate Communications Coordinator plays an integral role in the team’s communications operations and administration. Reporting to the Corporate Communications Publicist, you will provide administrative, logistical, and project support across all corporate communications needs, announcements, and events. 

This contract position is designed for a strong writer and collaborative project coordinator who can manage multiple priorities, maintain excellent attention to detail, and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive or time-critical information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and distribution of communications materials, including press releases, media alerts, corporate announcements, company highlights, internal communications, and media pitches.
  • Maintain awards & speaking calendars.
  • Assist with weekly press reporting and news monitoring, synthesizing relevant coverage and escalating notable developments.
  • Support major corporate communications campaigns and integrated announcements from planning and preparation through execution.
  • Coordinate media lists, briefing materials, schedules, approvals, distribution, and post-campaign reporting.
  • Staff events – screenings, industry panels, media tours – as needed
  • Track media inquiries and route requests to the appropriate Communications team member in accordance with company protocols.
  • Conduct research on company, industry, competitor, and entertainment news topics to inform communications planning.
  • Maintain organized files, contact databases, editorial calendars, status trackers, and measurement reports.
  • Assist with internal communications initiatives as needed
  • Support international communications reporting across relevant markets and time zones.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams including Marketing, Publicity, Legal, People Experience, Engineering, Product, and regional stakeholders.
  • Provide general administrative and project-management support to the Corporate Communications team.

We are considering LA-based remote candidates who can come into our Los Angeles office twice a month for meetings and team collaboration.

  • Experience with awards submissions, speaking opportunities, media opportunities, or industry events.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities.
  • Proactive and resourceful — you anticipate what’s needed, solve problems, and are comfortable figuring things out as you go.
  • Interest in anime, pop culture, and entertainment is a plus.
  • Comfortable occasionally adjusting your schedule to support global teams, including early mornings or evenings when needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

The Crunchyroll Communications team is composed of passionate publicists and storytellers who connect fans to the anime content they love. Our focus spans across multiple touchpoints, including SVOD, theatrical releases, events, merchandise, and more, ensuring our narrative reaches a global audience through effective and engaging press activities.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
