About this role

We are seeking a senior CloudOps Engineer to operate and improve Azure production services for APAC customer environments. The role provides regional CloudOps capability during APAC business hours, supports production go-lives and hypercare, and coordinates incident resolution with SL2 and the European CloudOps team.


Your responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor and maintain Azure production environments during APAC business hours

  • Support customer go-lives, production releases and hypercare, including deployment validation and rollback readiness

  • Monitor service health, capacity, availability and alerts; investigate incidents and coordinate resolution with SL2, European CloudOps, application teams and relevant third parties

  • Support Azure platform components, including AKS, networking, Azure Front Door/WAF, API Management, databases, storage, Key Vault and monitoring services

  • Implement approved infrastructure and configuration changes in accordance with change-management, security and operational procedures

  • Contribute to root-cause analysis, preventive actions and improvements to production reliability

  • Improve operations through scripting, infrastructure as code, runbooks and appropriate automation

  • Maintain accurate documentation for production environments, operating procedures and customer-specific configurations

  • Contribute to observability and alerting improvements using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana and OpenTelemetry-based telemetry where applicable


Your qualifications, skills and experience

  • At least 5 years of hands-on CloudOps, DevOps, infrastructure or production-operations experience, including senior-level ownership of operational tasks
  • Practical experience operating production workloads on Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with several of the following: AKS/Kubernetes, Azure networking, Azure Front Door/WAF, API Management, Azure SQL, storage, Key Vault, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
  • Experience with incident management, production troubleshooting, change control and release support
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code and automation, such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, Bash or Python
  • Ability to interpret monitoring and telemetry data to investigate service degradation and operational alerts
  • Experience with .NET, ASP.NET (MVC, Web API), Web Services, SQL, RabbitMQ, Redis
  • Strong documentation, communication and coordination skills across time zones and teams; professional fluency in English
  • A careful, risk-aware approach to production changes, a strong sense of ownership, and an automation-oriented mindset
  • The role provides APAC-hours coverage
