Material Bank is the world’s largest marketplace for searching, sampling, and specifying architecture, design, and construction materials. The service launched in Europe in spring 2023, allowing architects, interior designers, and corporate buyers to browse collections from over 200 European and global manufacturers. Combining a powerful platform with efficient logistics, approved members can order paint, flooring, textiles, ceramics, tiles, acoustics, and wallcovering samples for free. Shipping to 29 European countries from the Material Bank logistics hub next to Paris-Charles De Gaulle Airport, they receive their chosen samples in one box the next day, saving design professionals valuable time. In addition to improving the speed of searching and sampling materials, Material Bank provides a sustainable solution by aggregating samples from multiple brands into a single box, and to date, has eliminated more than three million packages from being shipped in the US. Material Bank Europe is part of Material Bank, which launched in the US in 2019 and was named as one of Business Insider’s Hottest Proptech Startups and Forbes’ Best Startup Employers. Operating in 37 countries, our platform has become the standard for design professionals around the globe. Every day, Material Bank connects thousands of designers with tens of thousands of materials from leading brands. Material Bank is the fastest and most powerful way for design professionals to search, sample, and specify materials.

Material Bank is seeking a strategic Enterprise Account Manager to lead relationships with a portfolio of our largest Brand Partners. You will serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for your Brand Partners, developing a deep understanding of their businesses, goals, and priorities and helping them maximize the value and impact of their partnership with Material Bank.

You will develop long term account strategies, lead quarterly business reviews, and translate platform performance and data into meaningful insights and recommendations. You will also guide Brand Partners through renewals and identify opportunities to expand the partnership when they align with their objectives and can deliver additional value.

This is a highly strategic and hands on role for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships while using data, industry knowledge, and business judgment to help Brand Partners succeed. The right candidate will be equally comfortable engaging with senior executives, digging into performance data, navigating complex challenges, and bringing together teams across Material Bank to deliver measurable outcomes for our Brand Partners.

What You'll Do:

  • Account Strategy: Develop a thoughtful, data informed strategy for each Brand Partner, identifying priorities, opportunities, and actions that can strengthen performance and support their long term objectives.
  • Growth & Expansion: Identify opportunities to deepen and expand partnerships where Material Bank can provide additional value, connecting recommendations directly to each Brand Partner’s goals and business needs.
  • Renewals & Retention: Lead the renewal process from planning through completion, proactively demonstrating value, addressing concerns, and building alignment around the continued partnership.
  • Executive Relationships: Build trusted, multi-threaded relationships across Brand Partner organizations, including senior leadership, creating strong alignment around goals, performance, and opportunities for continued growth.
  • Business Reviews: Lead strategic business reviews with Brand Partner leadership, bringing together performance data, insights, industry context, and recommendations that help inform decisions and identify opportunities.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic or enterprise account management within design, building product or related A&D industries, with direct renewal and expansion accountability
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills; able to connect with senior audiences
  • Proven ability to build relationships as a strategic partner ensuring lasting account relationships
  • Experience carrying a multi-million enterprise account level book of business
  • Genuine fluency with data, able to work with data sets to identify trends and opportunities as well as formulate insights helpful to account success
  • High level of judgement when it comes to determining what matters and what doesn't, and standing behind the trade-off
  • Unwavering accountability, adaptability, and drive to deliver results and care for your accounts
  • Travel required with the intention of face-to-face account meetings and professional networking
