About Discovery Garden

Discovery Garden powers digital collections for libraries, museums, galleries, and archives around the world. From Babe Ruth’s telegrams at the Baseball Hall of Fame to iconic Golden Gate Bridge photographs at the San Francisco Public Library, we help institutions preserve, manage, and share their most valuable digital assets. Founded in 2010 by the creators of Islandora, we bring over 15 years of deep expertise in digital repositories, innovation, and hosting services. About the Opportunity

Join our Product Management team as a Product Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, you will own the Product roadmap planning, and delivery.

As part of our agile team, you will collaborate with engineering and operations to pinpoint key customer challenges, establish product priorities, and deliver impactful business results. We are seeking an autonomous champion who excels at guiding teams without direct authority and transforming complex challenges into actionable roadmaps.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the Product Roadmap: Translate the company’s business objectives into a clear, actionable product strategy and roadmap
  • Drive the Product Roadmap: Prioritize features, enhancements, and new library, museum and archives market opportunities using data-driven, customer-centric frameworks.
  • Analyze the Market: Conduct continuous competitive analysis and user research to identify untapped revenue vectors and product improvements.

Execution & Delivery

  • Partner with Engineering: Work closely with Engineering and Operations to translate market needs and client feedback into clear product direction. Define what we build and why; engineering owns how we build it.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle: discovery, prioritization, requirements, launch, and post-launch iteration
  • Be Hands-On: Write crisp product requirements, define user personas, design basic wireframes, and validate features.
  • Go-To-Market Alignment: Partner with sales and marketing to coordinate product launches, refine pricing models, and enable customer-facing teams.

Team Building & Culture

  • Establish Foundations: Partner with Operations and Engineering to implement the initial product management processes, data analytics tracking, and communicate the roadmap internally and externally.
  • Advocate for Culture: Foster a company-wide culture of rapid experimentation, product thinking, and obsession with customer value.
  • Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills: build trust, communicate with empathy and clarity, and genuinely enjoy being part of a close-knit team

  • Track record of shipping products or features that moved key business metrics
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with data to inform decisions and measuring impact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to align stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience partnering directly with engineering in an agile environment
  • Sound judgment on prioritization and scope trade-offs under time and resource constraints
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a B2B SaaS environment
  • 5+ years of GLAM sector experience (galleries, libraries, archives, museums). We also value backgrounds in higher education and research, scholarly publishing, digital preservation or content management, and government or public-sector areas
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
