Ridestore

Retail – Supermarkets & Hypermarkets

Ridestore was founded over a decade ago by two Swedish brothers. If we summarise the journey with one word, it would be "change." But one thing has stayed the same, our customer focus. Today we are empowering an e-commerce movement. It's not a job; it’s a connection.“At Ridestore our customers are the bosses.”How do we deepen the relationship with our customers while growing Ridestore? By keeping it simple. All parts of Ridestore are constructed to maximize the benefit for the most important people, the customers! This means we offer our own products to the customers, with no middlemen. We see it differently. The direct-to-the-consumer method is about improving all parts of the company by empowering the customers. Our customer feedback is our focus for future growth. By listening and working with our customers we have created two fast-growing snow brands in Europe and North America Dope Snow and Montec."Creating with your customers is the future of brands."We design our work in line with our lifestyle. We have handcrafted a distributed workforce with over 80 passionate Ridestore teammates working from all over the world. For us, performance and execution rules. Location and work hours are secondary. And that’s the way we like it. If remote work is not your thing, don’t worry; we have a great HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden too. We stay connected with digital tools and meetups, and we’re able to make great products through our creative connections. The best ideas win, and the founders are simply one of us."The way we work is the way we live."But we don’t take this for granted. To us, a dream team means that we all perform at our best, and we all help each other reach those levels. We create our dream roles so we can ride together as a team. Want to dig deeper? Job description

One week it's a video brief, the next a photo shoot, and the weekend after you're in the mountains running a community activation with one of our partners. The work spans two brands, and nobody will tell you what to do next.

And that's not for everyone. Two or three years in marketing isn't enough for this one. If you need a big team, a fixed lane, or someone setting your priorities; you won't love this role. We'd rather say so now. If you've built or run marketing initiatives on your own, can stand your ground in hard strategic discussions, and like it, then please read on.

Ridestore

We're a Swedish, self-funded, profitable company behind two snow outerwear brands: Dope Snow and Montec. We’ve been remote since 2014, with our only office in Gothenburg. And we run lean on purpose because fewer people mean a stronger focus on what matters. We do not like titles; the best idea wins, whoever brings it. So we focus on output, skip the meetings we don't need, and when we meet in person, we make it memorable.

Why this role?

AI has been changing how Ridestore works, especially in 2026. But it also made people with a real eye for their craft more valuable. So our marketing team is evolving: specialists on one side, and on the other, broad generalists who can jump on anything we might think of.

This role is strategy and hands-on work in one. You'll bring an experienced, objective view to how we market two brands, and then you'll do the work. It suits someone who wants to make things rather than talk about making them.

What we think you'll spend your time on

In year one, most of it will fall across four areas: brand, community, creative, and marketing operations. Where you go from there depends on what you're strong in, what the brands need, and what you make your own.

Marketing operations is the center. You'll build and run the seasonal marketing calendar: launches, product highlights, competitions, and rider activations. You'll work with production and buying functions so that samples land in time to shoot within the snow windows. You'll help the team see what's working and what isn't.

Around that core, you'll drive projects and collabs as they come. With our event partners, creating moments in the mountains that our community talks about afterward. With the community crew, keeping our customer community seen through the season, online and on snow. On the creative side, making sure our photo shoots land on the brand direction and get from brief to live. And as a sparring partner for the rest of the team. We're lean, so we lean on each other.

Nobody hands you a priority list. You build it, defend it, and adjust it as the season shifts. Some of that means telling a colleague or an owner that their idea isn't the right one, or hearing the same back. Some of the work is shoots, events, and strategic direction. Some of it is chasing a sample box through customs. High and low and everything counts.

Who you are

A senior marketer with real years behind you, most of them in-house for a consumer brand, with a track record of shipping campaigns, events, and content largely on your own. Broad across brand, content, community, creative production, PR, ambassadors, and events (and deep in at least one). You've run marketing operations before, not just taken part in them.

You're comfortable in the hard conversations: on strategy, on priorities, on saying no. You like collaborating, but you don't need a team to get things done. You have a knack for getting great work from freelancers and agencies. You keep it simple, stay positive, and like having fun.

D2C experience, rider or community programs, and enough skiing or snowboarding to join a shoot day are welcome extras.

How we work together

Work from anywhere with enough overlap with Gothenburg (CET) to collaborate live when needed. The rest of the marketing team is spread across a few countries. So output matters much more than hours.

As winter is coming, we’d love it if you could start asap.

How we hire

We test before we commit, because we want to meet the person behind the CV. A conversation about the work that makes you feel alive, a real piece of the job to sink your teeth into, and along the way, time with Ridestore people. If it feels great, we'll see what actual work you could start on.
