Job description

A quick note about the role: Since 2026, Xplicity has been part of the Present Connection group, bringing our teams and technology communities closer together and creating more opportunities for talented professionals across both companies. Although this opportunity is shared through the Xplicity community, the position is with Present Connection, and the successful candidate will join the Present Connection team.

Present Connection is an international technology partner with offices in Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Spain. For more than 14 years, we have worked with companies across Europe, combining software engineering expertise with a strong understanding of business and technology. We bring together experienced technology specialists with a drive to experiment, explore new possibilities, and find better ways forward. We believe technology is more than something businesses use. It can change how they work, grow, and compete. That's why we work alongside our clients to challenge existing ways of working and build solutions that move their business forward.

The Opportunity

Our client is one of the leading telecom service providers in the Netherlands, operating a high-volume platform built around order flows and customer self-service, with a strong focus on clean architecture and domain-driven design.

We are looking for an experienced and driven Leading PHP Developer who will take ownership of this project – leading an established team in Kaunas and collaborating directly with the client. At the same time, this role goes beyond a single project: you will drive PHP standards and best practices across Present Connection and may take on a coordinating role in other PHP projects as the company grows.

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical depth with clear communication, analytical thinking and a genuine ownership mindset.

What We Expect

  • 5+ years of PHP development experience, including work on mid-to-large scale projects with multiple teams
  • Solid hands-on PHP and Laravel experience across multiple versions
  • Familiarity with Vue.js or Nuxt.js
  • Good knowledge of relational databases – MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Git, GitHub PR workflow and CI/CD practices
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and application lifecycle management – migrations, deploys, rollbacks
  • Experience with unit and integration testing, including Test-Driven Development
  • Proven ability to lead or mentor a development team
  • Strong analytical thinking – able to break down complex problems and make sound technical decisions
  • Excellent communication skills – comfortable working directly with clients and aligning cross-location teams
  • Ownership mindset – you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
  • Comfortable using AI coding assistants as part of daily workflow

Would be a plus

  • Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka or similar)
  • Experience driving technical standards or architectural decisions at company level
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or AWS

What We Offer

  • Gain knowledge in a company with more than ten years of experience in IT sector working with high – performing development teams
  • You decide work model – hybrid work and flexible work hours
  • Yearly training budget – get access to world's largest education site and attend internal trainings, workshops
  • Most flexible health insurance policy with compensation for sports activities, recreation, etc.
  • Regular performance reviews and transparent remuneration system
  • Performance evaluation system with clear skill evaluation
