Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a mid-level, versatile Software Engineer to work across our platform's front-end and back-end systems. This role will contribute to our security safeguard capabilities, GraphQL interfaces, and front-end systems — which may include internal tools and/or our customer-facing portal. This is a good fit for someone comfortable moving between the front end and back end, with solid experience in at least one cloud platform and an interest in API and interface design.

Responsibilities & Duties

Front-End & Back-End Development

  • Design, build, and maintain features across both front-end and back-end systems, depending on current team priorities.
  • Develop and maintain front-end functionality for internal tools and our customer-facing portal, primarily addressing bugs and enhancements today, with the opportunity to contribute to a future portal redesign.
  • Build and support GraphQL interfaces and other API/interface layers used across the platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects across the stack, working with teammates to identify root causes.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.

Platform, Cloud & Security

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of security safeguard capabilities across our cloud environments.
  • Support and troubleshoot services running in cloud environments, including containerized workloads.
  • Follow established data-handling standards when working with sensitive data.

Collaborate with onshore and offshore team members across time zones, including regular participation in team standups.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5+ years of professional software development experience across front-end and back-end work.
  • Working proficiency with at least one modern front-end framework and one back-end language/framework.
  • Experience with at least one major public cloud platform — AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: data structures, APIs, testing, and version control.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned features while collaborating well with a distributed team.
  • Comfort incorporating AI-assisted coding tools into daily development work.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills for cross-team, cross-timezone collaboration.

Good to Have

  • Experience with GraphQL or other modern API/interface technologies.
  • Experience building security or compliance-related features in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
  • Experience contributing to a customer-facing product or portal.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience setting up or working with agentic AI coding pipelines.
