SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Modern Work Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft 365 migrations, hybrid identity, endpoint modernization, and cloud transformation projects. This role requires a hands-on engineer who has successfully designed and delivered Microsoft Modern Work implementations, tenant consolidations, and hybrid-to-cloud migration projects in production environments.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience working across Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, and hybrid Microsoft environments. Beyond administration and support, candidates must demonstrate practical experience leading and executing migration projects involving on-premises infrastructure, Microsoft 365 services, identity modernization, endpoint transformation, and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
Experience in managed services, consulting, or project-based delivery environments is highly preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Microsoft Modern Work Solutions
• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Modern Work solutions across client environments.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Entra ID, and Intune.
• Configure and manage Conditional Access, MFA, identity governance, device compliance, application deployment, and endpoint security solutions.
• Implement and support Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Security solutions.
• Utilize PowerShell for automation, reporting, configuration management, and operational efficiency.
Hybrid Identity & Infrastructure
• Support and maintain hybrid Microsoft environments integrating Active Directory with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Configure and troubleshoot Entra Connect Sync.
• Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, and DNS services.
• Support Exchange Server (2019/Subscription Edition) environments and hybrid Exchange deployments.
• Design and implement Cloud Kerberos Trust and modern authentication solutions.
Migration & Modernization Projects
Lead or participate in migration projects involving:
• Windows file share migrations to SharePoint Online.
• Personal drive migrations to OneDrive for Business.
• Exchange Server to Exchange Online migrations.
• Active Directory identity synchronization and consolidation into Microsoft Entra ID.
• Domain-joined device migrations to Entra ID with minimal user disruption.
• Intune onboarding, policy deployment, and endpoint management modernization.
• Windows Autopilot deployments, including Hybrid Autopilot scenarios.
• Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations and tenant consolidations.
Technical Leadership
• Provide advanced technical escalation support for complex Microsoft Modern Work technologies.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term remediation plans.
• Assess existing environments and recommend improvements for security, governance, performance, and user experience.
• Mentor junior engineers and support teams.
• Develop technical documentation, migration runbooks, standards, and implementation guides.
• Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
• 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and implementing Microsoft Modern Work solutions.
• Strong experience with the Microsoft Modern Work stack, including:
o Exchange Online
o SharePoint Online
o OneDrive
o Microsoft Teams
o Microsoft Entra ID
o Conditional Access
o Microsoft Purview
o Microsoft Intune
o Windows Autopilot (Cloud and Hybrid)
• Strong experience supporting hybrid Microsoft environments, including:
o Exchange Server 2019/Subscription Edition
o Windows Server platforms
o Active Directory Domain Services
o Group Policy
o DNS (Public and Private)
o Entra Connect Sync
• Demonstrated experience delivering Microsoft 365 migration and modernization projects.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, including migration of:
o Exchange Online
o SharePoint Online
o OneDrive
o Entra ID identities
o Intune configurations
o Entra-joined devices
• Strong troubleshooting, solution design, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on PowerShell experience for administration and automation.
• Ability to independently lead technical workstreams and migration activities.
• Strong English communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MSP, consulting, or professional services experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Security technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot implementation and readiness assessments.
• Microsoft certifications such as:
o MS-102 Microsoft 365 Administrator
o SC-300 Identity and Access Administrator
o MD-102 Endpoint Administrator
o SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect
• Experience managing enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
