Job description

Summary:

The Key Account Manager oversees installations and special projects across multiple customer business units, ensuring successful execution that aligns with company and client objectives. This role serves as the primary project management contact, coordinating site surveys, subcontractors, permitting, engineering, and installation timelines while maintaining strong relationships with customers and industry partners and ensuring a seamless and timely customer experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Communicates and maintains an expansive knowledge base of relevant information on reloads, NTI’s, special projects and service within each business unit.
  • Serves as primary project manager contact for multiple business units, sought after expert and customer advocate for assigned projects.
  • Interfaces with all levels of key personnel in the field and customer office while representing Mark VII in a professional manner at all times.
  • Establishes, maintains and manages relationships with industry partners including distributors, subcontractors and manufacturers.
  • Responsible for gaining or performing site surveys.
  • Provides quotes to customers and order entry.
  • Meets with and establishes sub-contractors when necessary.
  • Provides all sub-contractor quotes to install management.
  • Works with engineering for any needed drawings.
  • Explores permitting requirements and communicates / assists customer in obtaining.
  • Coordinates with Install Management / Shipping / Site.
  • Ensures a timely install, manages punch list and gains D&A / submits final billing to accounting.
  • Responsible for all communication to the customer regarding install timing, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Gathers client requirements and provide information to the management team as well as other appropriate staff including the Product Manager and Engineering teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS degree in construction management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project management experience or installing car wash equipment a plus.
  • Car Wash product knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of automotive equipment concepts and industry.
  • Sales forecasting and planning.
  • Marketing planning including dealer buying guides.
  • Budgeting and business operations.
  • Competitor’s strength knowledge.
  • Recruiting and selection.
  • Experience leading cross-functional team.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.
  • Ability to interpret, create and analyze engineered drawings, quotes, and contracts.   
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify opportunities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.
