Job description

This is a remote position.

Superlanet is seeking an experienced Epic Project Manager to join our Managed Services team. Superlanet Managed Services provides ongoing healthcare IT support, optimization, project delivery, and strategic guidance, serving as an extension of our clients' internal IT and Epic teams. This is a direct hire opportunity, primarily remote, with occasional travel based on project needs. 

The Epic Project Manager will lead complex Epic initiatives with a strong emphasis on Community Connect implementations, practice onboarding, operational readiness, go-live, and stabilization. This role will partner with client leadership, Epic application and technical teams, operational stakeholders, physician practices, and Superlanet resources to drive successful delivery.The ideal candidate has significant Epic project management experience and can independently manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and implementation priorities. Direct Epic Community Connect experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Epic implementations, Community Connect deployments, optimizations, upgrades, and related healthcare IT projects from planning through stabilization.

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, issues, and executive reporting.

  • Coordinate workstreams across Epic applications, technical readiness, interfaces, devices, testing, training, cutover, and operational readiness.

  • Manage Community Connect practice onboarding, including scope confirmation, readiness tracking, workflow coordination, implementation planning, and deployment sequencing.

  • Partner with client leadership, physician practices, Epic teams, vendors, and Superlanet resources to maintain alignment and drive decisions.

  • Facilitate governance meetings, status reviews, risk management, escalations, and stakeholder communications.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects or implementation waves while maintaining delivery standards and timelines.

  • Support cutover, go-live, issue triage, stabilization, and transition to ongoing support.

  • Coordinate with Superlanet Epic analysts and leadership on assignments, dependencies, priorities, and client expectations.

  • Help develop repeatable Community Connect tools, templates, governance practices, and delivery methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience leading Epic or complex healthcare IT initiatives.

  • Experience managing Epic implementations, upgrades, optimizations, or enterprise initiatives involving multiple applications and operational teams.

  • Strong understanding of the Epic implementation lifecycle, including planning, build, testing, training, readiness, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects with multiple workstreams, dependencies, and competing priorities.

  • Experience developing project plans, RAID logs, implementation schedules, governance materials, and executive reporting.

  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and escalation skills.

  • Ability to build trusted relationships across technical, clinical, operational, and executive teams.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct Epic Community Connect implementation experience, including physician practice onboarding and go-live.

  • Experience managing multiple Community Connect practices, deployment waves, or concurrent implementations.

  • Knowledge of Community Connect governance, host/practice responsibilities, readiness, and transition to support.

  • Experience coordinating Epic Ambulatory, Professional Billing, revenue cycle, training, technical readiness, or integration workstreams.

  • PMP or comparable project/program management certification.

  • Epic certification, accreditation, or substantial experience working with Epic-certified teams.

  • Experience within Managed Services, healthcare consulting, or multi-client delivery environments.

  • Experience supporting large health systems, academic medical centers, or complex physician networks.

Salary based on qualifications and experience $115,000 - $140,000 +
