Digital Production Specialist


The Digital Production Specialist is responsible for creation and maintenance updates of digital products, including Teacher Toolbox and/or Bookshelf products. This includes the timely creation of new and updated Toolbox experiences using digital-only and digital-from-print assets, overseeing the creation of ePub3 files for Bookshelf, and implementation of errata corrections to files as needed.


The impact you'll have:

  • Creation of high-quality digital products for teachers and/or students, which support customers and augment printed products
  • Upload and maintain digital files and metadata in internal Content Management Systems
  • Support metadata collection and file structure to meet content re-purposing goals
  • Investigate reported problems with our digital products and implement fixes in a timely manner
  • Serve as a contact and consultant for our digital solutions and collaborate with Production and QA team members and managers, Platform and Project Management, and various other stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Editorial QA during the Quality Assurance phase of production; implement corrections as needed
  • Coordinate and communicate with vendors, as needed, in order to create and/or update products
  • Attend and participate in project and team meetings
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors, vendors, internal, and external teams in order to accomplish project goals and meet project deadlines
  • Ensure projects adhere to best practices and all documentation is maintained appropriately

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience with Content Management Systems (Magnolia and WoodWing are a plus)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with web-based languages (HTML, CSS, XML, ePub3, etc.) and Adobe InDesign
  • Successful delivery of final products and project deliverables according to prioritized schedules
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across multiple projects
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task; ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate confidently, effectively, and diplomatically with technical and non-technical staff, vendors, and management
  • Demonstrated willingness to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail

Benefits and Pay Range:

Pay Range – This role’s range is $43,375. - $70,875.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are

dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
