Job description

Product Marketing Manager – K-12 EdTech – Remote

Remote (U.S.) · Up to $100K base · Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer · Own a portfolio, not just a content calendar

Shape how schools understand and adopt technology credited with helping save 2,400+ student lives. If you want to own products, not just market them, this is where your work moves adoption, pipeline, and revenue.

The role

You own product marketing for three of Securly's products: Securly Pass, Flex, and Classroom. You'll decide how they're positioned, launched, sold, and adopted. You'll translate product capabilities into narratives school leaders care about, give Sales and Customer Success what they need to win, and make sure every launch is grounded in real customer needs.

You'll be the link between Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. You report to the Chief Marketing Officer and work closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Demand Generation, Creative, and executive leadership.

You'll own:

  • Product marketing strategy for Pass, Flex, and Classroom
  • End-to-end go-to-market planning and execution for new products, features, and releases
  • Differentiated positioning and messaging for school administrators and education leaders
  • Sales enablement that helps Sales and Customer Success communicate value, differentiate Securly, and win
  • Customer insight, win-loss, and competitive intelligence that shape both marketing and product decisions
  • Repeatable launch and enablement processes, built in partnership with Demand Generation

What success looks like

You'll get a structured onboarding with clear priorities. The milestones below show what the work typically looks like as you build up.

Timeframe

What you'll be doing

First 90 days

Learn Securly's products, customers, competitors, and go-to-market model, and build trusted relationships across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. Assess current positioning, messaging, enablement, and launch processes. Join active launch planning, refresh messaging for at least one product, begin customer interviews and competitive research, and deliver initial sales enablement the revenue team actually uses.

By the 6-month mark

Own go-to-market execution for your products and launch multiple features or product initiatives. Strengthen competitive intelligence and sales enablement, build repeatable launch playbooks, and contribute to stronger campaign performance.

12 months

Be the recognized product marketing expert for Pass, Flex, and Classroom. Show a measurable contribution to product adoption, pipeline, and commercial success. Run a steady customer research and market intelligence cadence, and use it to influence roadmap discussions.

Milestones are typical examples, not fixed requirements. Specific goals are set by your manager and may change based on business needs.

Who we're looking for

You'll likely bring:

  • 2+ years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience
  • Experience launching software products or meaningful product features
  • A track record of positioning, messaging, and enablement that revenue teams actually use
  • Experience partnering closely with Product Management and Sales
  • Experience using customer research and market insight to influence decisions
  • EdTech or K-12 experience is helpful but not required

What you'll bring:

  • Ownership: you think like an owner and are energized by bringing meaningful products to market
  • Strategy and execution: you can set direction and also roll up your sleeves to ship it
  • Cross-functional leadership: you drive multiple initiatives and influence without relying on authority
  • Clear writing: you simplify complex ideas into messages people remember
  • Curiosity: you want to understand customers, markets, and competitors
  • AI fluency: you use AI and modern tools to move faster without lowering the bar on judgment and quality

A realistic look at the job

This is not a role about producing a high volume of marketing assets. Success isn't measured by how much you create. It's measured by product adoption, launch execution, sales effectiveness, and commercial results. Some weeks you'll be deep in a launch, coordinating Product, Sales, and Creative. Other weeks you'll be interviewing customers, studying competitors, or rebuilding a pitch so reps can win more often. It's a fast-moving, collaborative environment, and the role carries real visibility, including with executive leadership.

The role is fully remote. Candidates must currently reside in the United States. Securly will not sponsor a visa for this role, at the time of hire or in the future, including for candidates on OPT/CPT status.

Where this role leads

This is an ownership role, not a support function. You'll have a meaningful product portfolio, visibility across Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and executive leadership, and a direct hand in how Securly positions, launches, and grows its products. You can make a measurable contribution in your first year, and that work builds the track record for broader portfolio and product marketing leadership.

Compensation and benefits

  • Up to $100,000 base salary
  • Top-tier medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Unlimited PTO plus a paid year-end shutdown
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Free 24/7 confidential mental health counseling and wellness tools
  • $1,000 annual learning stipend
  • Structured onboarding, coaching, and career growth opportunities
