The ES Digital Solutions Agile Transformation Leader strengthens enterprise execution by defining Agile governance, establishing operating rhythms, and creating systems that improve predictability, flow, and transparency across ARTs and Solution Trains. This role directs the Agile transformation roadmap, builds leadership alignment, resolves systemic cross-team impediments, and adapts SAFe to RTX’s operating realities. This role will also continue to stay abreast of current Agile frameworks and apply flexibility to fit with the work.  By collaborating with Metrics Governance, Tooling, Value Management, RTE leadership, and CORE, the Agile Transformation Leader ensures Agile practices, flow insights, and delivery signals are integrated seamlessly across Digital, enabling better decision quality, improved value delivery, and a consistent, scalable Agile transformation.

What You Will Do

Lead Enterprise Agile Transformation

Own and prioritize the enterprise Agile transformation backlog, OKRs, and multi‑year roadmap.

Define readiness, governance, and adoption mechanisms that drive predictable execution across ARTs and Solution Trains.

Adapt SAFe and Lean‑Agile practices to RTX’s operating environment using ASPC expertise.

Identify and resolve systemic cross‑team impediments to improve flow, transparency, and alignment.

Build Leadership Capability

Coach senior leaders, directors, managers, RTEs, and Scrum Masters to strengthen Agile leadership, governance discipline, and decision‑quality.

Facilitate executive workshops and SAFe training to align leadership behavior with Agile operating‑model expectations.

Establish and mature Agile Communities of Practice (RTE, STE, Agile Leadership) to scale enterprise capability.

Establish Agile Governance, Flow, and Transparency

Design enterprise governance rhythms that enhance dependency management, joint planning, and predictability.

Define standards for Agile reporting, readiness, maturity, and transformation visibility.

Partner with Metrics Governance to align flow metrics, maturity indicators, and OKRs with Agile execution visibility for leaders.

Convert execution data into insights highlighting risks, bottlenecks, and enterprise improvement opportunities.

Align Portfolio, Strategy, and Value Delivery

Shape Lean Portfolio Management practices to strengthen prioritization, flow, and value alignment.

Translate strategic priorities into actionable delivery signals across value streams.

Partner with Value Management to align Agile ways of working with investment decisions and value realization.

Enable Large‑Scale & Solution‑Level Delivery

Coach ART and Solution Train leaders to improve flow, readiness, dependency management, and cross‑team alignment.

Provide STE-aligned guidance for solution-level flow mapping, cross-team coordination, and Agile-oriented systems engineering support.

Strengthen coordination across ARTs, engineering, product, and business stakeholders to operate as a connected enterprise system.

Define & Mature the Enterprise Agile Operating Model

Develop and evolve Agile standards, role expectations, governance mechanisms, and operating practices.

Partner with CORE teams to ensure Agile execution practices support and align with broader CORE operating model initiatives.

Create scalable documentation, playbooks, decision frameworks, and templates that institutionalize Agile practice.

Continuously assess Agile operating model effectiveness and recommend improvements based on outcomes and emerging practices.

 What You Will Learn

Advance enterprise operating model architecture, expanding your ability to design the systems, governance patterns, and flow mechanisms that unify execution across Digital’s value streams.

Deepen enterprise portfolio strategy alignment, strengthening your capability to connect investment signals, prioritization models, and long-range strategy into a unified operating framework.

Broaden executive-level transformation influence, enhancing your ability to guide senior leaders through enterprise adoption, alignment, and behavior change required for large-scale Agile operations.

Expand multi-year transformation strategy design, maturing your ability to architect adoption roadmaps, orchestrate cross-domain change, and create systems that sustain outcomes across engineering, product, architecture, and business operations.

Enhance end-to-end enterprise delivery orchestration, building advanced skill in system-level flow design, cross-team coordination, dependency patterning, and delivery predictability across ARTs and Solution Trains.
