Job description

Overview:

Certara accelerates the potential of bringing medicines to market and to patients using biosimulation software, technology, and services to transform traditional drug discovery and development. Our software and scientists incorporate modern advances in scientific understanding, drug development experience, data analysis, and AI resulting in significant opportunities to decrease the cost and increase the probability of success for new drug approval and commercialization.

Supporting the corporate strategy and product goals by building an events roadmap and overseeing the execution of sponsored and own events to ensure top quality event presence and meeting pre-set event KPIs. Working closely with the marketing, product and sales teams to select sponsored events which yield results. Promoting measurement ideas needed to evaluate the return of sponsored and own events. Serving as Senior Events Manager for Certara’s European events including Certara hosted events such as Certainty in Europe.

Reports to: Marketing Director

Responsibilities:

• Support our corporate strategy, sales and product goals with planning and executing suitable sponsored and own events
• Develop and maintain the event calendar - including event needs defined by Marketing and incoming requests from other departments, including the European events of Certara
• Develop and maintain the event organization policy outlining the organizational milestones, roles and responsibilities within the company
• Build, maintain and share event playbooks for each sponsored and own events collecting all key information
• Work closely with dedicated Product Marketing Managers and Project Managers to ensure seamless information sharing about our events across departments and with Certara stakeholders
• Work closely with the marketing team to execute the production, printing, promotion and logistics needs of sponsored and own events in a timely manner and in top quality
• Work closely with Sales Ops managers within the company and Certara to ensure seamless lead capture and lead uploads to dedicated SalesForce campaigns
• Keep track of events budget, and provide budget report to Finance and the Chief Marketing Officer as requested
• Promote measurement ideas to evaluate ROI on events
• Collect and organize results of the event (new prospect list, feedback etc.) and share with relevant stakeholders
• Liaise with venues, suppliers and contractors, make sure events admin (agreements, contracts, ect…) is handled according to the company policy and in a timely manner
• Keep track of swags and booth materials in our global offices, and initiate and manage the production of new ones
• Maintain inventory of events electronics and hardware, manage purchase of new electronics in accordance with the company policy
• Maintain the company “Studio”, ideate ways to further utilize the studio equipment to generate promotional content

Qualifications:

• Previous working experience in event organization for 6-8 years including at least 2-4 years experience in B2B event management and events sponsorship management
• Outstanding organizational, problem solving and time-management skills
• Project management experience

• Experience in webinars and virtual events
• Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure to ensure the efficient running of an event
• Systematic and well-organized way of work
