The Opportunity

Tasks:

  • Accountable for coordinating and executing marketing plan, program, and campaign level governance (Marketing Investment Committee).
  • Serves as subject matter expert for Client Managers and Marketing Managers in preparing for governance presentations and documents governance decisions and may serve on the governance committee.
  • Ensures marketing funding allocations align with governance decisions.
  • Tracks, documents and reports funding information.
  • Manages plan, program, and campaign level budgets in tracking system ( UNICA).
  • Collaborates with Client Management and other marketing executives to monitor financial performance.
  • Assists with the business management of agency contracts, including serving as liaison between Marketing and procurement in establishing new contracts, amendments, renewals, and ongoing performance management.
  • Collaborates with CFO, Client Management, and Campaign Management to perform monthly review of campaign spend and identify variances for reinvestments.
  • Manages departmental G&A expenses, including third party resources and discretionary spend.
  • Accountable for establishing and maintaining department dashboards and key metrics.
  • Provides rollup reporting as necessary to senior leadership.
  • May partner with process owners to develop and/or execute control tests and develop action plans.
  • Serves as a mentor to team members and is a key contributor, critical to the achievement of team/organization goals.
  • Facilitates the continuous improvement of processes, etc Ensures procedural information is current and accurate.
  • Holds team accountable to all documented processes and procedures.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.



Education:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.



Experiences that will support your success:

  • 4-6 or more years of experience in a marketing, project management, finance, or staff operations function.
  • Experience in planning, developing, and executing operational budgets. Analytical thinking.
  • Advanced level understanding of Microsoft Excel features and capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Unica or similar marketing operations software.
  • Intermediate knowledge of PeopleSoft e-settlements, e-procurement, or other similar invoicing and procurement tools.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
