Job description

Cabinet designer

Key Responsibilities

  • Cabinet Design & Drafting: Produce accurate, detailed cabinet drawings and layouts using 2020 Design software, ensuring every project meets Cabry Design's quality and specification standards.
  • Client-Ready Documentation: Prepare complete design packages including elevations, floor plans, and cut lists that are ready for client presentation and production hand-off.
  • Design Iteration: Incorporate feedback from the internal team and clients into revised drawings efficiently, managing multiple revision cycles without losing accuracy or detail.
  • Specification & Material Selection: Apply knowledge of cabinet construction, hardware, and finish options to select appropriate materials and components for each project.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with the design and production teams at Cabry Design to ensure designs are buildable, on schedule, and aligned with project scope.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience using 2020 Design software for cabinet layout, rendering, and documentation.
  • Solid understanding of cabinet construction methods, joinery, hardware systems, and industry standard dimensions.
  • Ability to read and produce accurate architectural drawings and translate client briefs into detailed, workable designs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a track record of delivering clean, error-free design files ready for production.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, sufficient to coordinate with colleagues and understand client requirements.

Perfect Fit / Culture

  • Takes full ownership of a design from first draft through to final approval, without needing to be chased for updates.
  • Catches their own errors before anyone else does, and treats accuracy as a non-negotiable baseline.
  • Communicates proactively when a project detail is unclear rather than making assumptions that cost time later.
  • Comfortable working within a structured design process while also flagging improvements when they spot a better way to do something.

Typical Day

You start the day by reviewing your active project queue and picking up any overnight feedback from the team. Most of your time is spent inside 2020 Design, building out cabinet layouts, refining elevations, and preparing documentation for production or client review. You may jump on a short coordination call with a colleague in the design department to align on a spec detail or resolve a measurement question. By the end of the day you have updated files uploaded and any outstanding questions flagged, so the project keeps moving without delay.

Salary / Hours / Location

  • Location: Remote, open to candidates in the Philippines, Pakistan, and Latin America.
