Construction Project Intern

Job Summary

We are seeking a Construction Project Intern to support project and construction activities while gaining practical experience working on mission-critical data center projects.

The intern will work alongside experienced project and construction professionals and assist with project coordination, documentation, drawing review, scheduling, progress tracking and other day-to-day project activities. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for a student or early-career candidate interested in developing a career in construction and project management.

Prior professional construction experience is not required. Relevant coursework, previous internships or limited construction exposure are considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project and construction teams with day-to-day project coordination and administrative activities
  • Support tracking of project schedules, progress, deliverables and action items
  • Assist with reviewing construction drawings, specifications and other project documentation
  • Help maintain organized project records, reports, meeting notes and documentation
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with documenting follow-up items
  • Support coordination between project managers, engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders
  • Assist with basic estimating, quantity tracking and project planning activities as needed
  • Support preparation of project updates and internal reports
  • Learn company project management processes, standards and tools
  • Assist with other project-related tasks under the guidance of experienced team members

Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related field
  • No prior professional experience required; previous internship, construction or project experience is a plus
  • Basic understanding of construction processes and construction drawings is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with project teams and follow established processes
  • Comfortable learning new software, systems and project management tools
  • Reliable, proactive and willing to learn in a fast-paced project environment
  • Strong interest in construction and project management
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
