Job description

NVIDIA seeks a senior, hands-on system software engineer with customer-facing experience collaborating directly with PC hardware manufacturers. This role will develop the platform foundation of next-generation Arm-based Windows systems. You will own critical platform integration decisions and serve as a technical partner to PC OEM engineering teams, bringing new platforms from early enablement to production readiness. Your work will connect firmware and Windows engineering, automated qualification, and deployment, using telemetry, data analytics, and AI-assisted diagnostics to improve reliability and accelerate engineering decisions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build CI/CD pipelines, integration automation, and quality gates across Windows platforms.
  • Lead technical co-engineering with PC OEMs and internal engineering teams to define integration requirements, enable self-host, support QA validation, and drive debugging through verified resolution.
  • Automate platform onboarding, staged deployment, configuration tracking, health monitoring, and recovery.
  • Develop telemetry based diagnostics to separate product regressions from infrastructure or test failures. Translate findings into verified fixes and regression coverage.
  • Support UEFI integration with component owners, focusing on validation across boot, ACPI, power transitions, updates, and recovery.
  • Build AI-assisted workflows for automated regression detection, issue reproduction, and bug-fix validation, using platform health metrics to measure reliability and time to resolution.

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 10+ years of relevant firmware or system software development experience.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in UEFI integration and debugging, including EDK II, with a strong understanding of ACPI, Windows internals, and firmware/driver interactions.
  • Strong C/C++ skills and proficiency in Python or PowerShell, with experience building CI pipelines and hardware-based validation for Arm-based platforms.
  • Consistent history of analyzing crash dumps, system logs, and telemetry to isolate failures across system layers and measure engineering outcomes.
  • Proven experience owning complex platform work in customer-facing engagements involving PC OEM clients or firmware partners, leading technical decisions across teams while remaining hands-on.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Deep systems expertise and hands-on experience shipping Windows on Arm PCs, with strengths in Windows internals, driver integration, performance, or power management.
  • A track record of building shared automation and diagnostic tools that improve platform reliability, accelerate PC OEM enablement, or shorten root-cause analysis.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI or machine learning to log analysis, failure clustering, or evidence retrieval, with measurable improvements in accuracy and engineering efficiency.
